USAID Nepal Civil Society and Media Strengthening Activity

DAI works at the cutting edge of international development, combining technical excellence, professional project management, and exceptional customer service to solve our clients’ most complex problems. DAI seeks qualified technical candidates for an anticipated USD $25-50 million USAID/Nepal Civil Society and Media Strengthening Activity that will improve the effectiveness of civil society organizations and media actors, with priority at the municipal level, in strengthening public and private sector accountability, advancing and protecting fundamental freedoms, and improving equitable access to higher quality public services. The anticipated award date of the project is August 30, 2021.

Possible areas of technical and advisory assistance may include:

• Civil society and media capacity building
• Social accountability and public service monitoring and oversight 
• Access to information and transparency 
• Citizen engagement and access to public services
• Evidence-based advocacy at the national and sub-national levels
• Information and communication technology for open governance
• Grants management
• Gender and social inclusion
• Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning

In addition, DAI seeks Nepali nationals for program management, finance, and operations positions who are skilled in:

• Finance and Accounting
• Administration
• Human Resources
• Procurement
• Grants Administration
• Communications and Reporting
• Contracting/Subcontracting
• Logistics and Facilities
• IT Support & Administration

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or field; master’s degree preferred
• Five (5) or more years of progressive leadership experience in the related field
• Professional proficiency in English; fluency in Nepali preferred for some positions
• Prior experience managing teams in activity planning and implementation or working productively on a team
• Knowledge of US Government and USAID regulations and policies for contractors preferred
• Experience in the region required; prior experience in Nepal highly preferred
