World Education, an international NGO working with disadvantaged communities and vulnerable populations, seeks highly motivated and qualified candidates for the following positions for an upcoming 2-year inclusive education project. World Education seeks candidates to build a dynamic team to develop inclusive education approaches that use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Education Technology (EdTech) implementation strategies to improve learning outcomes for children with disabilities. 

A.   Program Manager 

The Program Manager will lead a team to develop UDL and new EdTech approaches to improve the learning outcomes for students with disabilities. S/he will be responsible for developing approaches and providing training and technical support to DPOs and government counterparts and will be required to participate in the development of UDL and EdTech approaches and resources for students with disabilities. This capacity building support will enhance skills of teachers, schools managers, parents, DPOs and government counterparts. S/he will ensure effective implementation of the program to meet the objectives.

Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, with 5 years of work experience with project management, or Master’s Degree in relevant subject area with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Prior experience in inclusive education, early grade reading programs, use of EdTech as well as developing educational curricula and training will be an advantage.  Strong leadership skills, interest in and commitment to use of EdTech for children with disabilities.

B.   Program Officer EdTech  (Kathmandu based with 50% travel to project districts)

The Program Officer - EdTech will contribute to the development of UDL and new EdTech approaches to improve the learning outcomes for students with disabilities.  S/he will play a lead role in identifying and testing utilization of suitable EdTech in the Nepal school context for improving reading competencies for children with disabilities. This will require strong technology skills and capacity to provide training and technical support to DPOs, government counterparts, teachers and parents. 

Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, in Information Technology, Education, Development, or other relevant field with at least 3 years of experience in use of technology for education or related activities.Interest in provision of education for children with disabilities and use of EdTech and ability to provide orientations and training.

C.   Program OfficerInclusive Education  (Kathmandu based with 50% travel to project districts)

The Program Officer –Inclusive Education will contribute to the development of UDL and new EdTech approaches to improve the learning outcomes for students with disabilities.  S/he will play a critical role in developing teacher training and mentoring strategies and working with government counterparts to rollout training and mentor teachers.  S/he will need to establish strong professional relationships with the Education Units of local Government and District /Provincial/ Central level Government as well as with the project team.

Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Development, or other relevant field with at least 3 years of experience in inclusive education. Experience providing teacher training and working with government counterparts essential.  Interest in provision of education for children with disabilities and use of EdTech and strong skills in the use of technology. Prior experience in early grade reading programs, as well as developing educational curricula and training will be an advantage.

D.   Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer – (Kathmandu based with frequent travel to project districts)

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer will oversee all aspects of monitoring and evaluation throughout the project related to inclusive education and use of technology. S/he will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective M&E system and M&E tools in line with M&E strategies to be used throughout the program.S/he will bring innovative ideas and approaches for M&E for capacity building of DPO partners and government counterparts and strong analytical skills to interpret, document and share evidence and learning. S/he will work closely with international experts and donor representatives and be required to produce documentation on the project for a global audience.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in relevant subject area with at least 3 years experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation.  Candidates with prior experience leading M&E for inclusive education or technology project targets will be at an advantage.
