JOB VACANCY 

Position: Program Associate (Admin and Finance Officer)

Reports to: Executive Director

Duty Station: Kathmandu

Nepal Public Health Research and Development Center, (PHRD Nepal) is a not-for-profit making non-political and Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with a vision to ensure evidence based public health practices guided by evidence informed policies and guidelines for sustainable development in health.

Job Summary

The Program Associate is responsible to maintain day to day financial, accounting and administrative activities as well as conduct field visit as necessary.

Major Responsibilities

  • Resolve administrative problems by coordinating preparation of reports, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
  • Keep updated record of all financial transactions in the “Tally “software.
  • Prepare monthly financial report by first week of succeeding month and track activities as budget allocation in the different projects.
  • Filing of taxes i.e. VAT, Income Tax, Corporate Tax, etc.
  • Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers and other financial records.
  • Knowledge on tax policy of Government of Nepal and procurements.
  • Maintain financial and administration files and records.
  • Comply with safety of office supplies, materials, equipment and physical facilities 
  • Maintain office premises to provide good working environment. 
  • Implement administrative policies and procedures 
  • Manage administrative function and establish internal administrative systems and controls 
  • Able to handle pressure with limited supervision
  • Other related activities as instructed.

Required Qualification: BBA/BBS

Skills and Experience

  • At least two years of relevant work experience in development project.
  • Experience in Accounting software(Tally) is a must.
  • Extensive spreadsheet skills.
  • Smart and pleasing personality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Integrity, dependability, loyalty and ability to collaborate with a team
  • Nepali typing is essential.

Salary: Negotiable 

Duration: Fixed-term
