Our work in Nepal spans across 36 districts and based on a programmatic approach to ensure rehabilitation and inclusive development of persons with disabilities in partnership with local organizations.

CBM seeks application from qualified and competent candidates for the position of Office Assistant

Objective: 

The position holds responsibilities for administrative support and smooth functioning of CBM Nepal Country Office in compliance with statutory requirements and CBM Nepal country office practices. Office Assistant is deemed to provide support towards maintaining efficient operation of the office, front office management, Fleet and travel management, Asset management, administrative management maintaining appropriate filing systems at all level of work.

Education and experience:

  • Intermediate (+2 degree), preferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/other relevant subject;
  • Minimum 1 years of working experience in the development sector with a focus on administration management.

Behavioural and Technical Skills

  • Good Communication Skills in English and Nepali (oral & verbal);
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Proficiency computer skills like Microsoft Word & Excel;
  • Proficiency in Nepali typing;
  • Ability to work with teams and collaborate with staff at all levels;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;

Detail Job description as below:

  • Answer incoming calls and receptionist duties;
  • Update incoming/outgoing mail register, Visitor Log Book etc.;
  • Handle official travel bookings including flight and road travel for staff;
  • Handle visa processing for staff and visitors as per requirement;
  • Handle Fleet management;
  • Ensure that logbooks are maintained;
  • Assets coding, transfer, and record keeping along with bi-annual physical verification;
  • Maintain office equipment, including laptops, printers and photocopy machines;
  • Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and update store records;
  • Management of Petty Cash for the office;
  • Track and update whereabouts of all staffs;
  • Update of leave records along with leave request;
  • Facilitate payment request process in compliance to CBM Nepal country office policy;
  • Facilitate vendor payment handover process;
  • Carry out functions related to day to day office management and administration;
  • Support country director in  administrative documentation;
  • Any other administrative responsibilities as delegated.

Humanitarian Action: 

  • In case of Emergency in the country and requirement of the organization you should be flexible to deploy in the emergency response management initiatives as per the requirement of the organization.
