KIRDARC Nepal is an NGO dedicated to Human Rights, Peace Building, Media and Development in Karnali Zone since 1999. It works with a mission to enable Karnali people to claim and exercise their rights for poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resources mobilization. It has been implementing various project/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

KIRDARC Nepal is an NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Human Rights , Democracy and Good Governance with especial focus on building capacities of right holders, duty bearers and civil society contributing to inclusive growth and fair development. It works with a vision of a just and prosperous society with people having access to and ownership over resources and communities.

KIRDARC is going to implement the integrated project in partnership with Save the Children International to improve student’s basic education, to improve implementation of UNCRC by government and Civil Society, to create safe and protective environment for children in school, health facilities and other community settings in 2 Municipalities (Tilagupha and Subhakalika) of Kalikot Distirct. Thus, KIRDARC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full time positions:

1. Program Co-ordinator - 1(based in Tilagufa Municipality)

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible to lead the project quality, output and outcomes. Support Coordinators in planning, implementing, monitoring, documentation and reporting of projects in close coordination with funding partners and sector stakeholders, ensuring quality results and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Master’s Degree in Education or related development field with at least 5 years of working experience in NGO or Development Sector. Should have skill of Leadership, Team Management by assigning work, developing work procedures consistent with policies, establishing work schedules, and monitoring work performed by subordinates in order to meet agreed-upon goals, objectives and target dates, reporting, coordination and communication.

2.Project Coordinator: Education – 2 (based in Tilagufa Municipality-1; Subhakalika Rural Municipality-1#) 

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible to lead the Municipality  projects, support  to Municipality  project team  in planning, implementing, monitoring, documentation and reporting of projects  in close coordination with Project Manager and sector stakeholders, ensuring quality results and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related development field with at least 5years of working experience in NGO or Development Sector. Should have skill of Leadership, Team Management by assigning work, developing work procedures consistent with policy, establishing work schedules, and monitoring work performed by subordinates in order to meet agreed-upon goals, objectives and target dates, reporting, coordination and communication

3.Project Coordinator: Child Protection/ CRG – 2 (based in Tilagufa-1#; Subhakalika-1#) 

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible to lead the Municipality projects, support to Municipality project  team  in planning, implementing, monitoring, documentation and reporting of projects  in close coordination with Project Manager and sector stakeholders, ensuring quality results and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology/Education/ Law or related development field with at least 5 years of working experience in NGO or Development Sector. Should have skill of Leadership, Team Management by assigning work, developing work procedures consistent with policy, establishing work schedules, and monitoring work performed by subordinates in order to meet agreed-upon goals, objectives and target dates, reporting, coordination and communication.

4.Project Co-ordinator- Safe School/ Sub-  Engineer– 1 (based in Tilagufa) 

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible to lead and Support project and ensuring to Municipality  and field team and ensures the timely condition and report of project activities with quality outputs.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Diploma in Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience in child education development program. Should have a good background and experiences in planning implementation, monitoring and management of education projects. Proven ability to manage team including their capacity to produce quality work. Willingness to travel on foot for long distances in difficult conditions.

5. Finance and Admin Officer– 2 (Based in Tilagufa-1, Subhakalika-1 Municipality)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be overall responsible to ensure functional, effective & efficient accounting & financial system and timely preparation and submission of reports to donor. This position holder will be working closely with organization’s Project Coordinator, Logistics and Management Team to run the smooth operations of accounting and financial management

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor degree in accounting or business management with At least 3-4 years of work experience in similar position. Essential skills include working experience in FAMAS,   experience with funding partner agencies; Sound knowledge in MS Excel and Office Package; Logistics and Program understandings. Other desirable skills include strengthen Internal control system; Presents a positive ‘can do’ attitude to get things done; Delivers timely and appropriate results using available resources

6. MEAL Officer – 1 (Based in Tilagufa Municipality)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to manage the overall functions of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning of SAHAYATRA Project of the organization

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in any discipline and having 2 years’ experience in project monitoring, supervision, evaluation as well as in research. Sound knowledge on Child Rights Policies. Knowledge and skill on social mobilization and project management Report and proposal and case studies writing skill with presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills. Very good skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting in English and Nepali. Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

7. Documentation and Reporting Officer – 1 (Based in Tilagufa Municipality)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible to document all the overall functions of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning of SAHAYATRA Project of the organization

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in any discipline and having 2 years’ experience in project monitoring, supervision, evaluation as well as in research. Sound knowledge on Child Rights Policies. Knowledge and skill on social mobilization and project management report and proposal and case studies writing skill with presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills. Very good skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting in English and Nepali.  Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

8. Logistic and Procurement Officer – 1 (Based in Tilagufa Municipality)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for all administrative, logistical works and management of Municipality based Office. This position will prepare plan on procurement and logistics management as per required and act accordingly.  S/he will be required to move to any KIRDARC offices in the districts and other related places to ensure proper logistics management. 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Studies with at least 2 years’ experience in logistics support in I/NGO or with intermediate level with 5 years’ experience. Knowledge of local laws and statutory requirements is essential. Good experience in transparent procurement process and inventory and store management with computer skills including use of spreadsheet and electronic e-mail/internet. Willing to make field visit to remote for logistics and financial support as and when required.
