Training on Mobile Data Collection Using KoBo Toolbox

Structure

• This is a two-day training program that requires full-time participation.
• The training will focus on tools and techniques for data collection using mobile phones and devices.
• Both the English and Nepali languages will be used as appropriate.

Target Group

The course is designed for employee from government, I/NGOs, multi and bilateral development organizations, consulting firms, and individual consultants who are involved in project management, M&E, data collection and analysis, designing data collection tools.

Objectives

• At the end of the training, participants will be able to:
• Digitize/transform questionnaire (English and Nepali) into mobile compatible formats,
• Configure mobile phones/devices for data collection,
• Collect data online/offline (With/out internet connection),
• Upload data to a cloud server,
• Visualize media files, geo points and analyze data online, and
• Download data for analysis.

Methods

The training will be participatory, instructor led, interactive, computer and mobile/tablet based to accomplish the training objectives.

Evaluation

The participants themselves will evaluate the training.

Certification

NESAF will award certificates to the participants

Time: 10 AM to 5 PM

Date: October 24 and 25, 2019

Venue

The training will be organized at the premises of NESAF.

Training Cost

The program cost is Net NRs. 7,500.00 (Seven Thousand Five Hundred only) for individuals and NRs. 10,000.00 (Ten Thousand only) for participants from organization. The cost will cover resource person’s fee, refreshments, stationaries, training materials, and certificates.

1. Only 10 participants
2. NESAF will organize a half day refresher training to the participants after two months of training completion, without further charging them.
