As leading NGO, Aasaman Nepal has been engaged in developing and implementing programs aimed to protection, promotion and fulfillment of child rights in Nepal. Since its inception in 1999, ASN has continuously been active in the development of children in terms of education, child rights, health and nutrition and livelihood. 

ASN is currently looking for an experienced and dynamic team player for the position Technical Advisor.

1.Position: Technical Advisor (Education and Health)- 1

Location: Kathmandu Based (Full Time)

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Overall responsible for providing oversight for a program’s planning, evaluation, knowledge management and monitoring. 
  • Design and ensure the effective Monitoring and Evaluation system for the ongoing and upcoming projects and programs. 
  • Responsible for designing and developing the Proposal and concept notes for the organization. 
  • Lead the on-going development of an M&E strategy, system and tools to enable all projects to collect, aggregate and support analysis of data, in order to meet all relevant reporting requirements and to facilitate and inform project management. 
  • Advise and support project managers and ME officers on choice of indicators and development of monitoring plans. 
  • Lead on design and implementation of qualitative and quantitative data collection such as needs assessments, surveys using recognized methods of data collection. 
  • Co-ordinate implementation of the M&E system, M&E tools, and project monitoring plans, including training and support for project managers, ME officers and field teams, support data analysis and usage
  • Liaise with consultants for new survey methodologies if not experienced. Work with staff to develop and standardize survey tools and other data collection forms for monitoring programs. 
  • Train relevant programs staff on M&E tools, data collection and analysis and basic surveying and sampling techniques.
  • Develop the team building and capacity building of the staff and support the project team member as required.
  • Ensure the effective coordination with the team members, partner agencies and lead, manage and motivate team member.
  • Represent Aasaman Nepal and the project team at the local/ provincial/ national level events. 

Qualification and Experience Required

  • At least Master Degree preferably in Social Science related fields.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the proper management of monitoring and evaluation sector. 
  • Proven report writing and data analysis skill with the knowledge of SPSS or STATA
  • Strong communication and liaison skills with funding agencies and partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of monitoring and evaluation and can deliver to manage an established system of monitoring and evaluation 
  • Have an excellent knowledge in proposal writing
  • Team management and capacity building of the team
