Scope
A high impact and experienced member within the team, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring that only high quality features make their way into our customers hands. This position will be working directly with product owners, architects, software engineers and QA to design and deploy highly scalable APIs as we continue our progress on breaking down a monolith system.
The position requires strong technical and organizational skills, and a passion for new technology.
Responsibilities
ï‚· Guide the development of automated acceptance and integration test suites for use across our DC business covering web frontends, Single Page Applications and REST APIs
ï‚· Work to embed testing and quality gates when pull requests are raised, providing feedback to developers on potential regression issues
ï‚· Define and Implement Performance test scripts using tools such as JMeter
ï‚· Articulate and guide development of tools and processes leveraged across the SDLC for continuous improvement in agility, quality and process/tooling maturity
ï‚· Communicate and work with teams in a globally distributed environment
ï‚· Shares knowledge openly within the team and across engineering
ï‚· Analyze and debug system problems providing clear steps to reproduce issues found
Requirements
ï‚· BS/BA in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
ï‚· A self-starter with a great work ethic and an eagerness to keep up to date with leading technological trends in the automated testing space
ï‚· Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
ï‚· Experience developing test solutions and test frameworks in a continuous integration and delivery environment
ï‚· 5+ years experience automating acceptance and integration tests for the web (Single Page Apps, Websites and REST APIs) via tools like Selenium, Protractor or headless browsers like Puppeteer
ï‚· Demonstrated experience with one or more programming languages – Javascript preferred
ï‚· Demonstrated experience working with RDBMS’s and SQL (MySQL preferred)
ï‚· Experience working with AWS, Docker, and Jenkins preferred
ï‚· Exposure to PHP (Lumen framework), JS (React)
ï‚· Good exposure and understanding of testing E-commerce sites
ï‚· Exposure to the concepts around microservices and microsites
ï‚· Experience with GIT, bitbucket, Github and the Gitflow branching model
ï‚· Experience adhering to an Agile development environment and iterative sprint cycle
