Vacancy Designation: Ruby on Rails Software Intern/Trainee

What we are looking for in suitable candidates:

• Have strong problem solving skills using programming.
• Can solve basic programming challenges using any programming language of his/her choice.
• Have ample knowledge on basic web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Quick learner. Highly motivated and enthusiastic. Punctual and have good work ethics.
• Work proactively with minimal supervision.
• Education: As long as you are good in software engineering, you qualify for applying whether or not you have a college degree. Futhermore, if you are still in college and largely have the requirements outlined, and can commit to working 20+ hours a week, you still qualify.
• Atleast one of the following.
  • Begun Ruby and Ruby on Rails development/learning.
  • Have justifiable desire backed by interest to learn Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
  • Have begun (or intends) to build Final year project in Ruby on Rails.
  • Have developed in non-Ruby programming languages, and would like to switch.

What you will do:

• Learn Ruby and Ruby on Rails.
• Build small to medium sized project based on Rails.
• Pair with fellow mentees and a mentor to complete tasks.
• Assist full time devs in Developing, Maintaining, Testing and QA-ing projects written in Rails.
  
• The internship period can range anywhere from a month to a year.

• Teach you design patterns and anti-patterns.

Full time opprotunity:

Deserving and interested interns can transfer to full time developer. In the past, several interns went on to becoming full time devs in the company.

Salary:

• Depends on experience. In the past, our interns were paid in the range of  NRs. 6000 - 20,000.

Working days/hours:

• 20-40 hrs a week, within 9am-6pm, Monday - Friday
