Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) is an independent, non-for-profit, media for development organization in Nepal since 2002. Its mainly focus on production of innovative and distinctive media content for both traditional and new media platforms for raising public awareness, positive behavioral change and media advocacy. AFN partners with different media outlets to disseminates the content.

AFN is hiring a competent, committed and self-motivated individual in the following Position;

Job Descriptions of Position

1. Position: Radio Drama Producer

Major Responsibilities:

• Beoverall responsible for the production of radio drama (in Bhojpur language) and mobilize, supervise of drama team members and ensure all targeted plan and activities are implementing effectively and efficiently.
• Lead role in planning, organizing drama team meetings according to planned schedule and as and when necessary,
• Review and provide feedback on scripts of drama and ensure all scenes are interconnected (episode wise), in-line with objective of the drama specifically the knowledge, attitude, and behavior change objectives of each theme.
• Lead and decision level role in coordination with Artists, Producer and Part Time Drama Writer for the drama production process,
• Monitor and back support to Drama Writer during their story-harvesting visit to community representatives of the target audiences for the drama.
• Finalize the scripts within stipulated timeline (attached Annexure -1; monthly calendar with detail activities defined) and ensure all scripts are addressed/incorporated by given suggestions/feedback before proceeding to production.
• Facilitate and provide necessary support, guidance to Drama Artists during the drama recording.
• Assist and direction to Drama Writers/Co-Producers on drama production (recording/editing and finalizing) process until final packaging of the drama.
• Organize a joint meeting with all drama team members to compile and provide suggestions/comments to script writers individually and in the team for AFN’s radio dramas based on the main story line and sub plots.
• Be updated on various contemporary issues to be incorporated into drama.
• Support to Drama Co-Producer in decision making on various issues related with drama production process.
• Ensure that drama's background materials and sound effect are adequately used.
• Provide creative feedback/suggestions to Drama Writers and Drama Co-Producers and whole drama team including Technician for the better quality.
• Take necessary suggestions from AFN Executive Director, Production Manager/Coordinator and Country Representative of PMC (funding partner) and play bridging role between senior management of AFN/Country Representative of PMC and drama team members.
• Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.
