VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Strengthening Community Resilience through Livelihoods and Environment Improvement (SECURE) project is being implemented by Dalit Social Development Center (DSDC) in the partnership with United Mission to Nepal (UMN) in Yasodhara Rural Municipality Ward number 1,2 and 3 of Kapilvastu district. SECURE has the goal as “To contribute in building the resilient communities at the project locations on social, environmental and economic grounds having sustainable improvement in the livelihoods.”

Dalit Social Development Center (DSDC) is seeking applications from qualified Nepalese nationals for the position of Project Officer to be based in Kapilvastu district. 

Duty Station:   Ward no 1, 2 & 3 of Yasodhara Rural Municipality of Kapilvastu District. 

Salary and Benefits: As per the rules and regulations of the organization.

Required Qualification, Skills and Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture
• Minimum 2 years work experience in the field of development program as program/project officer/coordinator
• Experience in commercial vegetable farming, livestock, fisheries and cereal crop production and marketing including value chain development
• Experiences in project implementation and report writing with sound command in Project Cycle and Project Management
• Ability to develop business plan of both farm and off farm enterprises
• Experiences in the field of climate change adaptation and mitigation, natural resource management and disaster risk management
• Ability to speak and write reports both in English and Nepali languages
• Good knowledge on computer office package including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to drive motorbike/scooter with valid license
