Nari Bikash Sangh (NBS) is a social service oriented, nonprofit and nongovernment organization (NGO) established in 1980 with a view of facilitating value-based development of rural poor, disadvantaged, and underprivileged woman. For the past 37 Years, NBS have been implementing different projects themed on Child Rights, Protection, Women Right, Livelihood, Adolescent Rights, Disaster Risk Reduction and Water Sanitation and Hygiene.

NBS have been implementing Community Engagement and Sponsorship Project (CESP) Disaster Risk Reduction and Humanitarian Response, Protection Project, Kishori Project in Partnership with World Vision International Nepal in the Sundarharaicha Municipality (Ward No.-1) Budhiganga Rural Municipality (Ward 6 and 7) Gramthan Rural Municipality (Ward No.1 and 2) Katahari Rural Municipality (Ward No 5a nd 6) Biratnagar Metropolitan city (Ward No-19). For the KISHORI Project, vacancy is called for the Posts mentioned below:

Project  officer

 Bachelor in Public Health
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in public health project management at community level
  • Experience on infrastructure work such as toilet construction/renovation of school/health facility preferred
  • Sound knowledge on MHM (Menstrual Hygiene Management) and ASRH (Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health)
  • Familiar with government policy, program priorities, needs and issues in relation with MHM and ASRH
  • Knowledge on behavior change communication
  • Good understanding on operational issues including financial management and supply chain (timely delivery of services, supporting documents for voucher, advance settlement process etc.)
  • Good understanding of project cycle management including planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
  • Sound knowledge & skill on project risk analysis and management Periodic reporting
  • Knowledge of Computer and MS- Office Packages
  • Should have Valid Driving License (Motorbike)

Training Officer

Bachelor in Public Health or Social Science
  • 1-2 years of experience in public health project at community level
  • Experience in providing training/orientation at community level
  • Knowledge on MHM and ASRH, behavior change communication and community mobilization
  • Skilled on planning and capacity building of school children (adolescents), health workers and school management committee and mothers groups.
  • Skilled on using different training methods as per target group
  • Good training and facilitation skills, ability to adapt to community environment is highly preferred
  • Implementation skills on planned activities
  • Good understanding on financial management system like supporting documents for voucher, advance settlement process etc
  • Good communication skills to deal with project team and stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Computer and MS- Office Packages
  • Should have Valid Driving License (Motorbike)
