KIRDARC Nepal is an NGO dedicated to Human Rights, Peace Building, Media and Development in Karnali Zone since 1999. It works with a mission to enable Karnali people to claim and exercise their rights for poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resources mobilization. It has been implementing various project/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

KIRDARC is an NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance with especial focus on building capacities of right holders, duty bearers and civil society contributing to inclusive growth and fair development. It works with a vision of ‘a just and prosperous society’.

KIRDARC is going to implement Project “Advancing resilient local development in the Himalayas” in Palata Rural Municipality of Kalikot with focus on Strengthening Disaster Risks Reduction Management and Local Governance in funding   support of Mission East. Thus, KIRDARC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full time position:

1. Project Coordinator:- 1 (based in Palata RM Office, Kalikot)

Key Responsibilities: This position will be overall responsible to lead the project to produce quality results working in close coordination with CSOs, government line agencies and other sector stakeholders. He/She will be overall In-Charge of planning, reporting, Documentation of project related documents and guiding the project team in the district

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, Environmental Science/Management with at least 5 years professional experience in I/NGOs in the areas of Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction and Environment Management with proven track record of CCA and DRR mainstreaming in multi stakeholders process. The candidate should have Excellent coordination, communication and interpersonal skills (team building and team work) with key stakeholders at project and national level. Should have very good skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting in English and Nepali. Excellent computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and candidate should have pro-active, innovative, willingness and committed to stay and travel in the remote areas to work with poor and vulnerable communities.
