PRERANA, a NGO working in the field of Women Rights, Physical Rehabilitation and Social Mobilization in Nepal invites application from qualified Nepali candidates for the positions of Project Coordinator.

Job profile: Under the direct supervision of Executive Director, Project Coordinator will be responsible for an overall management of SAMUNNATI Project run in partnership with ActionAid Nepal. Besides this, Project Coordinator needs to contribute Prerana in program implementation, policy advocacy including developing concept notes / project proposals, monitoring and knowledge management as a member of senior management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective and efficient project implementation and management.
  • Ensure the project’s framework is in line with the program strategy and guarantee the quality of the project.
  • Administer effective partnership coordination and management.
  • Oversee project budget management and monitoring.
  • Take project team leadership and provide individual guidance.
  • Assume responsibility for internal and external reporting and communication. 
  • PC is to implement the project and provide support MAM for strengthen
  • Build alliance with different women’s networks/organization to ensure women’s right
  • Review national policy/provision/program related with women right and coordinate MAM networks for policy advocacy at local, provincial and national level.

Required qualifications and competencies:

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, management, human rights, law or related discipline with at least three (3) years of professional experiences in project cycle management or Bachelor degree with at least 5 years of professional experiences in one of the following fields –policy advocacy, social inclusion, human rights, or capacity building.
  • Knowledge in human rights, women rights, gender and social inclusion, and related policies is required. 
  • Proven skills in project planning, monitoring, reporting, knowledge management, and partnership management; 
  • Proven experience in coordination with government authorities and other stakeholders; budget and staff management and 
  • Excellent report writing skills in Nepali and English languages.
