WHH works hand in hand with civil society in Nepal to empower socially marginalized and economically poor citizens to reinforce their resilience and to ensure their right to adequate food and nutrition. 

Welthungerhilfe Nepal announces vacancy for following positions:

Project Coordinator -1 position

The position is based in Kailai/Kanchanpur or Surkhet or Salyan district with frequent visit to the project locations. The Project Coordinator is responsible to back stopping of project partners, oversee project implementation, coordination with partners and line agencies and quarterly and interim reporting of the project.

Requirements for the position

Nepali citizen having Master’s Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences and Rural Development.At least 5 years of similar experience with I/NGOs in managing livelihood or cooperative based projects. 

WASH Officer (Engineer)-1 position

The position is based in Saptari or Sirahadistrictswith occasional visit to Chitwan.The WASH Officer is responsible to lead and assure the quality of technical aspects of community-based drinking water supply systems, WASH in schools and public institutions. She/He is responsible for finalization, technical feasibility, design/ drawing, endorsement, and quality monitoring, including ensuring the functionality of the systems. The position will build the capacity of partner’s technical staffs (civil engineers) and coordinates closely with government’s technical department to ensure project work is in line with their guidelines and compliance as well.

Requirements for the position

Nepali citizen having graduate in civil/environmental engineering with focus on WASH and groundwater. At least 5 years of similar working experiencein I/NGOs and government specially in Terai region of Nepal.  Please refer Job Description for more detail requirements of this position. 

MEAL Officer – 1 position

The position is initially based in Saptari or Sirahadistrict.The MEAL Officer is responsible for the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning System of WASHprogrammein line with BMZ and Welthungerhilfe standards, ensuring efficient information and data management, improving data quality, strengthening knowledge sharing, ensuring accountability and learning process across the organization, with partners and other stakeholders.

Requirements for the position

Nepali citizen having Master’s degree in public health/environmental science, development studies or equivalent subjects with at least 4 years of working experience in I/NGOs in a similar position. Please refer Job Description for more detail requirements of this position.
