HKI/Nepal is working to improve the nutritional status of women and young children through evidence-based research and programs. Helen Keller International (HKI), CARE, FHI 360, Nepali Technical Assistance Group (NTAG), Equal Access Nepal (EAN), Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), Vijaya Resource development Centre (VDRC) is implementing USAID funded Suaahara II Program (SP II) in 42 districts, applications are invited from interested, committed, dynamic team players and experienced Nepali nationals for the following positions:

Requirement for the Role

Program Documentation Assistant (short Term – 4 months)

Position : 1

 

Districts: Kathmandu with possible travel to Accham/ Dang/ Sindhupalchok

This position holder assists the Sr. Manager for MER and the Data Analyst Manager to implement the qualitative assessment titled ‘Assessing Municipality-level local resource mobilization: allocation and utilization for nutrition’. S/he will be responsible to monitor and supervise data collectorsin collecting qualitative data, oversee the process of data translation and analyze qualitative data along with the assessment team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Social Work/Public Health/ Anthropology or any other relevant discipline 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in similar position/organizations

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written command in Nepali and English 
  • Strong communication skills including Microsoft Office Package
  • Basic understanding of research methods, data collection and analysis, particularly qualitative research methodologies
  • Knowledge/experience on Governance sector/local governance will be considered an asset
  • Proven leadership skills/experience will be considered an asset.

 

Data Collector

(short Term – 1 month)

Position -: 14

Districts: Accham, Dang and Sindhupalchok

This position holder will collect data using focus group discussion, in-depth interviews and observations for an internal qualitative assessment.

  • Intermediate degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of experience; OR, Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
  • Previous work experience with/alongside local government preferred
  • Academic training on research
  • Proven experience (including academic) on research, in qualitative data collection, working/collaborating with local government will be considered an asset

Skills

  • Excellent oral and written command in Nepali
  • Strong communication skills
