Prayatnashil Community development Society (PRAYAS-Nepal), is a registered non-governmental and non-profit making, non-religious, service-oriented district level organization. It is registered with District Administration Office at Dhading (on 2058-12-6 B.S.) as well as Social welfare Council (2059-9-6). Since, then it has been working in the field of community development. It is also a member of NGO federation Nepal. The daily activity is managed by PRAYAS Nepal has an office located at Neelkantha - 3 Dhadingbesi. It is autonomous and politically non-partisan organization which is governed by its statutory/ constitution, financial and administrative policy and code of conduct and other various policies. We have some project with joint venture/ collaboration with different external development partner. This time we are seeking qualified and dynamic PHE Assistant (sub-engineer) for Dhading district.

Job Description

Job Title: PHE Assistant (sub-engineer)

Type: Field based (20% at Office)

Period of time: 6 month (Time may extend according to his/her own performance)

Name of Organization: Prayatnashil Community Development Society (PRAYAS-Nepal)

Areas of Responsibility:

• Carry out feasibility study and detail survey and prepared the design estimate & drawing of different water systems, sanitation facilities.
• Support project Engineer to implement lifting and Gravity water supply project.
• Supporting the thematic as well as technical and Social Mobilizes.
• Coordination in community level Stakeholders, documentation, data management recording and reporting, facilitation, program  Monitoring and provide Guidance to subordinates.
• Prepared Annual, Quarterly and monthly Plans for effective execution of the project activities as stipulated in the project document.
• Frequently monitoring supervision of project scheme site of water scheme.
• Involve on quality esurient of construction materials.
• Manage construction materials for all schemes and support to finance person as well.
• Involve in other WASH related activities (assessment, awareness, trainings, meetings, national and international events)
• Travel Frequently to Program areas and Sensitize Sector Agencies on Sanitation, Mobilize the project Staffs, related Stakeholders and beneficiaries to fulfil the intended objectives According to project document.
• Carry out activities based on approved plan and budget.

Technical Skills, experience & Knowledge Essential

• Pass the Diploma in Civil engineer, minimum 3 years' experience the quality construction lifting and gravity water supply scheme.
• Sound knowledge in AutoCAD design.
• Design estimate of rural water supply scheme.
• Excellent knowledge about Microsoft office package (excel, word, power point)
• Lead to support WUCS strengthens training.
• Good communication skill.
• Good knowledge about survey of water supply system.  
• Knowledge about implementation of water supply scheme in field.
