Oracle DBA

Nepasoft Solutions, an “Oracle Gold Partner” is hiring an “Oracle DBA”. We are looking for applicants with a graduate degree in IT or related field with at least 2 years of working experience.

Key Skills

• Installation, configuration and administration of Oracle database.
• Relevant DBA skills and working experience with Oracle Database 11g/12c.
• Monitoring of database performance and capacity to minimize the risk of system downtime, performance tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC and ASM will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Data replication using Oracle Data Guard.
• Experience on implementing database security and also preventing data loss.
• Performance monitoring and tuning using database metrics such as AWR, ADDM, ASH reports.
• Basic Knowledge of SQL queries for daily operational use.
• Excellent Communication and Confidence in full Oracle Support.
• Knowledge of SQL (PL/SQL) programming or Shell scripting is a plus.
• OCP certifications will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide DBA services to clients around the clock as per the requirement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues of Oracle database from a technical perspective.
• Plan and implement backup, recovery and failover strategies.
• Implement and maintain backup, restore and recovery policies and procedures using RMAN, Import/Export (and Datapump), SQL*Loader.
• Liaison and work with DBA team, outside vendors, System and Network teams, Oracle.

Optional Requirement

• Possess a valid driver's license (either for a motorbike or car/van etc.)
