Detailed Job Description / Requirements
As leading NGO, Aasaman Nepal has been engaged in developing and implementing programs aimed to protection, promotion and fulfillment of child rights in Nepal. Since its inception in 1999, ASN has continuously been active in the development of children in terms of education, child rights, health, WASH, DRR, governance, youth and women empowerment, food security and nutrition and livelihood.
ASN is currently looking for following experienced and dynamic team players for the positions mentioned below:
1. M&E Officer- 1
The M&E Officer will be responsible for collecting, analyzing and preparing logical and periodical reports, TOR, design the M&E mechanism, orient the project staff on field level monitoring and report to team leader.
Qualification and Experience Required: At least Bachelor Degree preferably in statistics and least two years working experience in Monitoring and Evaluation is required. The M&E Officer should have working knowledge on report writing, data analysis, EXCEL and SPSS.
2. District Coordinator- 5
The District Coordinator will be responsible for overall implementation and coordination of the project with the local government and district level stakeholders for smooth operation of project. He/she will ensure continuous supervision and monitoring of the tasks assigned to the project team.
Qualification and Experience Required: At least Bachelor degree with three years of experience in project implementation (I/NGO sector) with excellent communication, coordination and staff management skills is required.
3. Governance Coordinator
The Governance Coordinator is responsible for providing governance support for the way in which an organization is managed, directed and governed. He/she will work closely with the other members of the Executive Office Team to ensure the efficient and effective running of the organization’s governance structures.
Qualification and Skills required: At least Masters Degree with proficient use of computer skills in Microsoft including Word, Outlook and Excel.
4. Information Management Officer- 1
The IMS Officer will be responsible for the data collection, reporting and communication with local government / others.
Qualification and Skills required: Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (B.Sc. IT) preferred with minimum 2 years of experience in the related field
5. District Field Officer- 1 (Female Only)
District Field Officer will be responsible for the overall planning management and provide technical leadership for the project management and monitoring in order to ensure high standard of the project implementation.
Qualification and skills required: Bachelors in social science with at least two years of proven experience in implementing and managing DRR projects in Nepal
6. Agriculture Officer- 1
The agriculture officer will be responsible to train farmer groups, distribution of agricultural support, provide assistance for the promotion of agriculture related value chain activities, data management, report writing, communication, coordination and networking with government and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualification and skills required: At least Bachelor Degree in agricultural (Bsc Ag.) or related subject
The Sub-Engineer will be responsible for orienting the community members of the project sites and make them able to mobilize their efforts and resources by sensitizing and guiding them. He/she will supervise overall construction supervision work during construction and erecting of the houses/shelter and performs detail feasibilities and surveying works, prepare design reports while verifying the quality and quantities of materials transported in the field.
Qualification and skills required: Should have pass Diploma in Civil Engineering with two years' of work experience in building site supervision and have sound knowledge of computer skills using design software.
8. Education Thematic Advisor
The Education Thematic Advisor is responsible for developing multi-year thematic strategies and annual plans, designing and building programs, coordination of education and life-skill programming and securing the grants, developing strong external relations and producing and utilizing high quality and well-articulated project evidence and research for learning for advocacy and for the continued development of education portfolio.
Qualification and skills required: Advance degree in education, social science or equivalent qualifications with at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in education program /project planning, implementation, reporting, documentation, management and evaluation.
Other Attributes for all positions: Excellent quality of work and commitment to high standards, strong communication skills, team building and willingness and motivated for good service delivery with strong networking and interpersonal skills and comfortable to work under stress and emergencies.
Duty Station: The positions are based in Province 2 with frequent travel to field.
Age Limit: Candidates between 21 years to 45 years are only eligible to apply for all the above posts.
Duration: Annual contract basis with three months probation period with possibility of extension
