Vacancy Announcement for the position of Finance and Admin Manager

Fair Trade Group (FTG) Nepal is a consortium of fair trading organizations in Nepal. It seeks to promote the advancement of the socio-economic status of underprivileged and marginalized producers across the country. It was formally registered as a not for profit an NGO in 1996. Member organizations of FTG Nepal are involved in supporting producers and raising awareness towards influencing change in the international trade regime. At present, more than 10,000 underprivileged producers and 45,000 producers are directly and indirectly benefiting through FTG Nepal and its members.

FTG Nepal is seeking to recruit full time Professional as below:

Position: Finance and Admin Manager (FAM)

Type: Permanent

Duty Location: FTG Nepal office in Lalitpur

Reporting to: Director

Summary of Position:

This position serves as a focal person to ensure sound management of FTG Nepal’s Finance and Administrative systems. This includes development and monitoring of the budgets, oversight of all income and expenditure, smooth operational and logistics arrangements and ensure compliance with administrative, human resources and financial rules and procedures.

Work experience, skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree (preferred MBA degree) in Accountancy/Finance from a recognized university;
• At least 5 years of proven successful experience in the field of accountancy/finance and administration functions in NGOs;
• Strong knowledge of financial rules and regulations and accounting principles;
• Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc) and spreadsheet and database packages;
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
