Christian Aid has been working in South Asia across Nepal, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh for more than 50 years with countries offices in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan and South Asia regional office in New Delhi. Christian Aid brings substantial expertise in emergency response, recovery and rehabilitation work, DRR, social Inclusion and Resilient Livelihoods with proven ability to deliver emergency food security and livelihood restoration support through its local partners. CA has a longstanding partnership with donors such as European Commission, ECHO, DFID, Irish Aid, USAID etc. for supporting humanitarian responses in South and South-East Asia region, for major emergencies. Christian Aid has contributed significantly to the regional resilience and humanitarian actions working closely with other institutions of excellence.

Consultancy for Baseline Study for Building resilience of most excluded poorest of poor communities through improved livelihoods and preparedness in disaster prone pockets of Nepal

Christian Aid (CAID) is an International Development and Humanitarian organisation working for over 70 years across the world. We provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.

CAID has been working in Nepal since 2004 on regional South Asia Projects through partners on key thematic actions including cross border Early Warning Systems for floods in Nepal-India border, human trafficking and Social Inclusion. In the aftermath of Mega Earthquake of April 2015, CAID established an office in Nepal and is registered with Social Welfare Council (SWC) as INGO. CAID country programme has reached out to most vulnerable areas of the country including Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Rasuwa, Dhading, Dolakha, Gorkha and Sindhupalchowk and Flood Prone districts of Banke, Bardiya and Dang with local partners.

CAID Nepal in partnership with local civil society organisations is implementing 3-year project titled “Building resilience of most excluded poorest of poor communities through improved livelihoods and preparedness in disaster prone pockets of Nepal" in Bardiya, Dhading, Dolakha, Rasuwa and Khotang Districts. This assignment is the part of CAID country programme to conduct baseline to contribute overall objective of CAID country strategy. Hence, CAID Nepal invites qualified Consultancy firm and/or individuals consultant to submit Technical and Financial Proposal on or before 24th January 2019.
