GEYC-Nepal is a non-governmental organization basically involved in Health-Education and community development. To this intent, the organization is seeking efficient, motivated and experienced candidates of following posts for SAMMAN Project which is going to be implemented in Nuwakot district with the partnership of CARE Nepal.

1. Functional Title:  District Project Coordinator (DPC)

Required Number: 1

Project:  SAMMAN/GSKIV

Job Summary 

The district project coordinator is responsible for overall management of project in district. He/she is responsible for the planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities in the district. He/she will also take a lead in the organizational development to boost the organization's portfolio apart from the project. The incumbent will be responsible to oversee the overall management of the organization including staff performance and administrative work. The incumbent requires providing technical assistance to district base project team for monitoring of project activities, documentation of outcomes and sharing with the concerned Government and Non-government agencies for their wider replication. The incumbent is also responsible for the timely reporting as per the project document. Assist in conducing baseline/ end line survey and other studies to be done. He/she is responsible for inter-sectoral coordination and networking in the district and work in team with a common goal of Strengthening Approaches for Maximizing Maternal, Neonatal, and Reproductive Health (SAMMAN). Being lead of the project team in the district, s/he is responsible for management of team, project office and budget accordingly. 

Competencies:

  • Familiarity with GoN health policy, plan and service delivery system, experience in planning, conducting action and operational research, recording and reporting, publication and dissemination, advocacy of MNH and RH issues,  monitoring and evaluation and report writing skills and communication skill
  • Experiences in implementing in governance tools to improve the social accountability in health
  • Two-Wheeler driving License (Valid Period of time)

Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree in Public Health or Nursing with two year of relevant work experience in similar field. Or, Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or nursing with five year of relevant work experience in similar field. 
  • Excellent analytical, communication and negotiation skill
  • Excellent  writing and spoken skill in English and Nepali
  • Computer skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook) 

2. Functional Title: Health Officer (HO)

Required Number: 1

Project: SAMMAN /GSKIV

Work station: District Head Quarter/Project Office with frequent field visit

Job Summary 

The Health Officer is responsible for overall management of the project in the district. H/She is responsible for the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and advocacy of project in the district. The incumbent requires providing technical assistance to community facilitators and health workers for effective monitoring, evaluation, documentation, and dissemination of project process, achievement and learning. The incumbent is also responsible for the timely reporting as per the project document and also provide technical support in conducting research studies and special/case studies and link with advocacy initiatives around RH and MNH and Family Planning issues in the district/municipal. The incumbent is responsible for inter-sectoral coordination and networking in the district/municipal and work in team with a common goal of Strengthening Approaches for Maximizing Maternal, Neonatal, and Reproductive Health (SAMMAN) in Nuwakot District of province # 3 of Nepal. 

Competencies:

3. Functional Title: Community Health Facilitator (CHF)

Work station: Assigned Field

Job Summary 

The Community Health Facilitator is responsible basically for conducting field level activities of the project in the assigned field area. H/She is responsible for the mobilization of target beneficiaries, implementation of activities in the field, to assist in evaluation, and advocacy of project in the field. H/She is responsible to collect data of keep record and report it to higher authority, and to arrange different training programme and raise awareness perform advocacy initiatives around RH and MNH and Family Planning issues in the district/municipal. H/She is responsible to assist sectoral coordination and networking in the district/municipal and work in team with a common goal of Strengthening Approaches for Maximizing Maternal, Neonatal, and Reproductive Health (SAMMAN) in Nuwakot District of province # 3 of Nepal. 

Competencies: 

Familiarity with mobilization process, service delivery system of GoN, experience in planning, Priority determination, conducting field level activities, recording and reporting, publication and dissemination, advocacy of MNH and RH issues, monitoring and evaluation and report writing skills and communication skill. 

Qualifications: 

  • Certificate Level Passed in Medical Science/ Nursing or CMA/ANM passed with 3 years of relevant work experience in similar field. 
  • Excellent Report writing and communication skill
