Reporting to: Senior Program Director 

Salary range: Nrs 40000 to 80,500 + other organizational benefits. 

Job Purpose

HuRENDEC is seeking a District Program Manager who can create enabling environment for smooth program implementation at district and who are committed towards learning and scoping of innovative ideas based on learning and program implementation. The District Manager will also be charged with collaborating with district team and donor representatives to support HuRENDEC goal, mission and objectives. 

Program Responsibilities (75%):

• Ensure implementation of the program in line with program document (5%)
• Prepare program implementation plan, monitoring plan and ensure program monitoring (15%)
• Engage and maintain relationship with consortium partners (5%)
• Ensure regular coordination among district team (5%)
• Support HuRENDEC team to hire district-based staffs and make decision if needed (5%)
• Actively support in fund raising activities, preparation of learning documents, case studies and district reports (30%)
• Mobilize district staffs and support for capacity building of district staffs (10%)

Administrative/Financial responsibilities (25%):

• Ensure staff mobility plan and support for staff security at district (5%)
• Leave, travel approval and other admin/financial approval of all district staffs including other district staffs if needed (5%)
• Ensure regular fund flow and trace the expenditure vs. activities (5%)
• Support to prepare annual financial report and support final audit (5%)
• Ensure all expenditures are transparent with project and organizational guideline (5%)

Education and Experiences

Minimum Bachelor degree (Master's degree preferred) in Environment/Forestry/Rural Development/Economics/International Relation/Sociology/Agriculture/Humanities and another related field. Minimum five-year experience for Bachelor degree and three-year experience for Master degree in development field. Proven experience of coordination and communication with government and donors. Previous experience in climate change and livelihood will preferred. Proven experience of fund raising in small grants program will be highly preferred. 

Skills

Experience of writing reports, good understanding of development sector of Nepal. Advance use of excel, word and e-mail. Demonstrate flexibility and open mindedness. Cross cultural sensitivity and ability to interact well with diverse groups of people and multiple teams. Ability to write and speak good English. 

Additional Competency

• Willingness to be contactable at all times when needed.
• Willingness to work out of office hours when required.
