Youth Alliance for Development is a non-profit and non-governmental organization established in 2067 B.S., propelled by a shared vision of youth empowerment. Youth Alliance for Development was founded by a dynamic cohort of young visionaries who recognize the indispensable role that the youth assume in steering the nation towards progress. YOUTH ALLIANCE FOR DEVELOPMENT (YARD) is swiftly emerging as a potent force centered on the youth, fortified by proactive measures, the promotion of youth leadership, and empowerment initiative. Serving as a catalyst for positive societal transformation, the organization serves as a crucial podium, amplifying the voices of the youth and magnifying their perspectives on matters of public importance.

Youth Alliance for Development (YARD), in partnership with Kindernothilfe (KNH) is implementing the Women Empowerment for Child Rights Protection (WECP) and KNH Sponsorship Project in Godawari Municipality, Kailali. The project promotes women empowerment, rights, protection, and holistic development of children through community empowerment and sponsorship-based interventions. To strengthen project implementation, YARD invites applications from qualified, experienced, and motivated Nepalese citizens for the following positions:

1. Admin and Finance Officer (1 Position)

Position Purpose: The Admin and Finance Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with YARD and donor (KNH) financial policies, and supporting administrative and logistics management for the effective implementation of the WECP and Sponsorship project activities.

Project: Women Empowerment for Child Rights Protection (WECP)

Duty Station: YARD Office, Dhangadhi with occasional visits to Godawari Municipality, Kailali

Duration: Initially one year with possible extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective financial management, accounting, and reporting of the WECP and Sponsorship Project.
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, financial records, and reports following YARD and KNH financial policies.
  • Manage procurement, logistics, inventory, and administrative documentation.
  • Support the project team with administrative and operational requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control systems and donor (KNH) requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and administration in NGO/INGO sectors.
  • Sound knowledge of financial systems, tax/VAT regulations, and accounting software (Tally or similar).
  • Excellent reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to transparency, accountability, and team collaboration.

2. Sponsorship Project Officer (1 Position)

Position Purpose: The position will be responsible for implementing and monitoring sponsorship-related activities in the target communities under the guidance of the Senior Project Officer, Program Manager and KNH line Manager. The role ensures smooth functioning of child sponsorship processes, quality data management, effective communication with partners, and compliance with KNH standards and policies.

Project: Women Empowerment for Child Rights Protection (WECP)

Duty Station: YARD Office, Dhangadhi with frequent visits to project area

Duration: Initially one year with possible extension based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of the KNH Sponsorship component under the WECP Project.
  • Manage child profiles, correspondence, and database systems in line with KNH sponsorship standards.
  • Coordinate with schools, parents, and community groups to ensure effective child rights protection and development.
  • Support project planning, documentation, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Conduct home visits and awareness activities with families and children.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, Education, Sociology, or Development Studies (master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 23 years of experience in child sponsorship or community development projects.
  • Strong communication and writing skills in Nepali and English.
  • Good computer and database management skills.
  • Experience working with children, women, and community-based structures is an asset.

Other Competencies (Both Positions):

  • Strong commitment to YARD’s values of equality, inclusion, and child protection.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project areas.
