Request for Expression of Interest (EOI)

For a roster of Health National/Local NGO

A. Context

Triangle Génération Humanitaire (TGH) is an international solidarity organization founded in 1994 with the aim of developing cross-disciplinary and sustainable expertise. TGH integrates emergency relief, rehabilitation, and development within a comprehensive and environmentally conscious approach. The organization designs and implements programs in collaboration with national and international partners, prioritizing the identification and mobilization of local skills and resources whenever possible. This approach seeks to respond as closely as possible to the needs expressed by beneficiary communities by developing comprehensive and sustainable solutions that promote their autonomy.

TGH launched its operations in Nepal in 2015 following the earthquakes, initially implementing emergency response and reconstruction programs in the districts of Kavrepalanchowk and Sindhupalchowk. TGH’s main sectors of intervention include Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).

B. Current program and perspective

TGH, in consortium with Médecins du Monde (MdM) — another French NGO working in Nepal since 1995 — is currently implementing a program aimed at supporting the transition of rural Nepal towards sustainable food systems and zero-chemical practices to protect farmers, consumers, and the environment. This objective is pursued by transforming existing food production and distribution systems through support for alternative farming initiatives and the promotion of healthy agricultural practices that reduce risks related to chemical exposure. The program is being implemented in four municipalities across the districts of Kavrepalanchowk, Sindhupalchowk, and Ramechhap in Bagmati Province, Nepal, and will continue until mid-2027.

A potential second phase of the project is currently under preparation. In this context, TGH is seeking to build a roster of national or local NGOs operating in the health sector for future project implementation. Specific experience or expertise in Occupational Health and Safety, chemical pesticide risk reduction and prevention, as well as prior work with farming communities, is especially valued. Current or past operational presence in the districts of Kavrepalanchok, Ramechhap, and Sindhupalchowk will be considered an added advantage.

C. Requirements and criteria

To establish a roster of national/local NGOs with experience in the health sector, TGH Nepal is seeking expressions of interest from organizations that meet the following criteria:

  • The organization must be a competent local or national non-governmental organization, duly registered in accordance with the prevailing laws of Nepal.
  • Preference will be given to organizations established by or among beneficiary groups, and those with proven technical competencies and relevant experience.
  • The organization must not be a political party or affiliated with any political party.
  • The organization must have up-to-date legal status (registration/renewal, financial audits, tax clearance, etc.) in compliance with applicable government regulations.

  • The organization must possess adequate implementation capacity, including but not limited to: planning, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, and results tracking.
  • The organization should have a strong network with national, provincial, and local government bodies. An established presence and network in Kavrepalanchok, Ramechhap, and Sindhupalchok districts will be considered an added advantage.
  • The organization's values and operations must align with TGH’s principles, including participation, non-discrimination, accountability, and transparency — both internally and in its programs, and in interactions with partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • The organization must have systems in place for good governance and management, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, transparency, and accountability to beneficiaries, stakeholders, and donors.
