Job announcement for the position of Project Coordinator

Kam For Sud Nepal (KFSN) is looking for a talented, multidisciplinary and result-oriented Project Coordinator to lead a new project (provisional) in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

About the project:

The Promoting Apprenticeship in Nepal (PAN) Project aims at enhancing the value of TVET, and at promoting and supporting the access to professional education for Nepalese youth. Another key objective is the introduction of environmental care as well as security at work in vocational training curriculums, specifically in the construction sector. The project will start in 2026 and will have a first phase duration of 24 months. A second phase will be developed based upon the results of phase 1. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the project’s operations in close collaboration with and under the supervision of KFSN Executive Director.
• Plan, organise and implement all the project’s activities.
• Manage all the project’s related administrative, human resources, financial and reporting tasks.
• Establish and consolidate effective interactions and collaborations with Government and Non-Government Stakeholders, including the private sector.
• Ensure that the project’s objectives are reached timely, fully and with a high-quality level. 
• Ensure that all project’s Stakeholders as well as the students are satisfied with the interactions and collaboration with KFSN.

Requirements:

This position requires multidisciplinary capacities, attitude and experiences. The specific requirements are:

• Master’s degree, preferably in Business Administration, Education, Development Studies, Sociology or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience or Bachelor’s degree in similar subjects with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in the field of education at secondary and/or tertiary levels.
• Strong and proven administrative and organizational skills.
• Strong ability to establish contact and effective collaboration with partners in various sectors.
• Strong interest and dedication towards social work.
• High motivation to contribute effectively to reach the project’s objectives in favour of the youth of Nepal.
• Excellent interpersonal attitude (sympathetic, open minded, interested to new perspectives and innovative solutions, collaborative and teamwork oriented).
• Flexible attitude, ready to adapt the work according to the possible evolution of needs, context and/or situation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in Nepali and English (verbal as well as written, any additional language is an asset).

Preferred:

• Good personal network in various sectors (Institutions, Development organisations, Private sector).
• Experience in working with NGO and/or in social work activities.

Additional information about the position:

• The workplace will be based in Kathmandu, possible field visits will take place in various regions of the Country.
• The initial contract will be of one year, with the possibility to extend.
