Background

Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. Plan International has been working in Nepal since 1978 helping marginalized children, their families and communities to access their rights to survival, protection and participation. With the close coordination of local partners and stakeholders, we are working in 23 districts across the country. 

Plan International seeks the following positions for an anticipated Asian Development Bank funded Project in Nepal. These positions are contingent upon donor funding and approval.

The purpose of the project is to successfully design, implement, and evaluate a coordinated set of activities to prevent SEAH before it occurs; to build capacity to replicate effective actions and communicate the results. The results of the SEAH prevention pilot will help make the investment case for implementing deeper and evidence-driven prevention activities with implementing agencies, contractors and project affected communities in the future. 

1. Deputy Team Leader-1 Position (10 months; Open to all applicants) 

Responsibility: The position holder will lead the capacity development or mentorship and quality assurance of local prevention activities with local partners including NGOs and/or government partners.  The person must have at least 10 years of experience in implementing gender equality and GBV prevention interventions in Nepal.

2. Project Specialist-2 Positions (15 months; Open to all applicants) 

Responsibility: The position holder is required to deliver context-specific and evidence-driven SEAH prevention activities while supporting in building capacity of national and local stakeholders for implementation. The role requires proven experience of implementing GBV prevention activities in Nepal, working with local communities and local government. Having experience implementing GBV prevention activities with young people is an advantage.    pro
