Call for proposal: Conduct Climate Change Impact, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment and Identify Priority Adaptation Options for BTR2

Under the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) Project, implemented by WWF Nepal in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment (MoAFE), with financial support from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), WWF Nepal invites proposals from VAT-registered Nepal-based organizations to conduct an updated Climate Change Impact, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (VRA) and identify priority adaptation options to support the preparation of Nepal’s Second Biennial Transparency Report (BTR2).

The assignment will focus on reviewing and updating Nepal’s 2021 VRA using the latest climate, socio-economic and sectoral information, assessing climate hazards, exposure, vulnerability and risks across key thematic sectors and provinces, developing risk maps and vulnerability profiles, identifying and prioritizing adaptation options aligned with the NAP and NDC 3.0, and preparing technical inputs for the BTR2 Climate Change Impacts, Vulnerability and Adaptation chapter. The consultant will also conduct consultations across all seven provinces, engage relevant stakeholders and technical committees, and organize a national validation workshop.
