1. Background of CREASION

The Centre for Research and Sustainable Development Nepal (CREASION) is a leading not-for-profit organization working to create sustainable solutions to environmental and social challenges through research, innovation, policy engagement, and community-led action. Since its establishment, CREASION has worked closely with government agencies, civil society organizations, private sector actors, academic institutions, and local communities to promote circular economy, climate action, sustainable waste management, and green entrepreneurship across Nepal.

2. Background of the Project

GreenShift Nepal - Circularity of Plastic Waste for Net-Zero Carbon Nepal is a four-year initiative co-funded by the European Union and implemented by CREASION in partnership with Restless Development Nepal and Youth Innovation Lab. The project is being implemented across Bagmati, Lumbini, and Madhesh Provinces, working with nine local governments to strengthen Nepal's transition towards a circular economy.

The project empowers waste workers through civil society organizations, strengthens private waste enterprises, supports sustainable packaging innovation and green businesses, engages young people through Climate Smart Schools, Waste Smart Fellows, Youth Groups and Youth Sounding Board, and promotes evidence-based policy development at local, provincial, and national levels. By connecting communities, governments, private sector, and youth, GreenShift Nepal demonstrates how circular economy approaches can improve livelihoods, reduce plastic pollution, and contribute to Nepal's climate ambitions.

As the project enters its final implementation phase, there is an opportunity to capture the transformation achieved over the past years. Beyond documenting project activities, the documentary will highlight the lived experiences of waste workers, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, youth leaders, municipal officials, and community members whose lives have been positively influenced through the project. These stories will preserve valuable lessons, inspire wider adoption of circular economy practices, strengthen advocacy efforts, and communicate the long-term impact of GreenShift Nepal to national and international audiences.

To achieve this, CREASION intends to engage a qualified and experienced documentary production firm to produce a high-quality documentary film showcasing the project's journey and impact across all three provinces and nine municipalities. The documentary will feature compelling human stories alongside the project's achievements in waste management, youth leadership, policy reform, green enterprise development, and sustainable innovation. The selected consultancy will be responsible for concept development, scripting, filming, aerial cinematography, interviews, post-production, motion graphics, colour grading, subtitling, voice over, and delivery of the final documentary, along with shorter impact films and social media edits suitable for communication, advocacy, and knowledge-sharing purposes.

Interested consultancy firms are requested to submit separate Technical and Financial Proposals, clearly labelled "Consultancy for Documentary Film Production - GreenShift Nepal," no later than 11:59 PM on 30 July to greenshift@creasion.org with a copy (CC) to jugal@creasion.org.
