It works with a mission to enable Karnali people to claim and exercise their rights for poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resources mobilization. It has been implementing various project/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

KIRDARC Nepal is an NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance with especial focus on building capacities of right holders, duty bearers and civil society contributing to inclusive growth and fair development. It works with a vision for a just and prosperous society with people having access to and ownership over resources and opportunities.

KIRDARC together with Plan International Nepal is going to implement Karnali Education Project (KEP) in Jumla, Kalikot and Dolpa districts. The project aims to contribute in ensuring gender transformative inclusive quality education in around 80 schools of these districts. This project will cover Hima, Sinja and Kanakasundari RM of Jumla district, Sanni Tribeni, NarahariNath RM and Raskot Municipality of Kalikot district and Jagdulla and Mudkechula RM of the Dolpa district. The overall objective of the project is ": Girls and boys equally access and complete quality education within safe, inclusive and gender transformative educational institutions that contributes to achieve goal of the School Sector Development Plan (2016-2022, MOEST)  and also set target for 2030 of SDG 4.in Jumla, Dolpa and KalikotThus, KIRDARC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full time position:

1.Project Manager – 1(Based in Jumla with frequent field visits to Jumla, Dolpa and Kalikot)

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible to lead the implementation of the project including budget planning, effective reporting and overall management of the project. Monitor, document and report to funding partner and senior management including quality of program. Ensure smooth coordination with local, district and province level stakeholders related to programme creating synergy and wider outreach of programme. Ensure the accountability and transparency of organization, programme and influence the sectoral development.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in education with at least 5 years’ experience in leading, managing, coordination, monitoring, supervision, evaluation and reporting of inclusive education, early grade reading programs. Have excellent computer skills (MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint), strong team leadership and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas. Committed to child protection, child safeguarding and human rights values.

2.Project Officer -3 (Based in Dolpa, Kalikot and Jumla with frequent field visits)

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible to implement the project in the district ensure School Safety project operation with its all compliance being responsible leader of the Project at district level through. Ensure the implementation of the project according to the DIP and report to District coordinator/Project leader. Support to Field Staffs for technical gaps in the community level and district level events. Supervise the activities conducted with compliance at community and district level. Coordination with related stakeholders working in education and child right for synergy in working theme and better result. Ensure the accountability and transparency of organization, programme and influence the sectoral development.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in education with 3 years of work experience or Intermediate in education with 5 years of work experience in inclusive Education and Early Grade Reading related programs. Experience in implementing, managing, and coordination, monitoring, supervision, evaluation and reporting. Have excellent computer skills (MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint), strong team leadership and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas. 3.Finance and Admin Officer -1 (Based inJumla)

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible to ensure functional, effective & efficient financial management of the programme with accounting & financial system and timely preparation and submission of reports to donor. This position holder will be working closely with organization’s Finance, Logistics and Program Team to run the smooth operations of accounting and financial management. Ensure KIRDARC’s and Plan’s policies, guidelines, International & National Accounting Standards. Monitor and report Budget vs. Actual expenditure to concern budget holder for review and further adjustment Maintain safe and proper filling of voucher, monthly financial report, bank reconciliation statement, and data backup for auditing and further requirement Prepare Monthly, Semi Annual Financial report and submit to Line Manger. Present Periodic Financial reports to management meetings, Board Meeting and Review meetings to support in effective management decisions.  

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in accounting or business management. At least 3 years of work experience in similar position. Working experience in FAMAS or any accounting software Working experience with donor agencies. Sound knowledge in MS Excel and MS Package. Logistics and Program understandings and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas.

4.Technical Supervisor -1 (Based in Dolpa with frequent field visits)

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible for supervision of technical aspects/ construction of school infrastructures. Responsible to implement and monitor quality of construction in line with design standards, estimates and BOQ. Complete the measurement of work and prepare work completion report with fully transparent process of financial and public audits. Supervise improvement works and other civil works by staying on the construction site. Verify the measurement bill provided by contractor.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Completed Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years of work experience or Sub - Overseerwith5 years of experience in supervision of institutional construction works, earthquake, disaster, resilient infrastructures especial buildings. Have sound knowledge in Computer MS office, excellent communication and interpretation skills. Strong team leadership and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas. 

5.Technical Supervisor -1 (Based in Jumla with frequent field visits both Jumla and Kalikot)

Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible for supervision of technical aspects/ construction of school infrastructures. Responsible to implement and monitor quality of construction in line with design standards, estimates and BOQ. Complete the measurement of work and prepare work completion report with fully transparent process of financial and public audits. Supervise improvement works and other civil works by staying on the construction site. Verify the measurement bill provided by contractor. Should supervise the construction works performed in both districts Kalikot and Jumla.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Completed Diploma in Civil Engineering with 3 years of work experience or Sub – Overseer with 5 years of experience in supervision of institutional construction works, earthquake, disaster, resilient infrastructures especial buildings. Have sound knowledge in Computer MS office, excellent communication and interpretation skills. Strong team leadership and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas.
