Terre des hommes foundation (Tdh) is a child protection focused Swiss INGO that has been active in Nepal for 32 years. Tdh Nepal delegation is seeking a qualified and dynamic Nepali candidate for the following position.
Position Title: Trainee - Child Labor & Migration Programme
Reporting to: Child Labor & Migration Programme Coordinator
Work Station: Kathmandu with travel throughout Nepal as required
Key propose of job
- Support the delegation in documentation and knowledge management on Child Labor & Migration
- Support the programme team in specific project management tasks
- Support the fundraising effort on child labor & migration
Specific roles and responsibilities:
- Collate all the training document on Child Labor & Migration facilitated by Tdh
- Document and support for the need assessment process of Tdh Nepal Child Labor & Migration projects and sustainable livelihood
- Support mapping of existing national data collection process on Child Labor & Migration and current needs, gaps and initiatives
- Support to conduct the various surveys (eg. baseline survey) in Child Labor & Migration project
- Assist to prepare and develop training materials including manual in English and Nepali language in coordination with Child Labor & Migration Programme Coordinator
- Support for fundraising activities such as searching and collecting information of potential donors, preparation of a summary of calls and collection of other information during project development
- Other tasks suggested by Child Labor & Migration Programme Coordinator
Qualifications
At least Bachelor's degree in social science, development studies, social work, communication, gender studies and human rights, agriculture and other related subjects

- Self-motivation, resourceful, autonomous worker with sense of initiatives and learning attitude

- Computer efficiency in MS office (word, excel), email, internet search, Google drive etc.
- Good Nepali and English writing skills
- Nepali typing skill will be an asset
Languages
- Excellent command of English and Nepali language (written and spoken)
IT Knowledge
- Good computer literacy & skills, good English and Nepali typing, including online collaboration tools.
Salary and benefits: NPR 15,000.00 per month (gross)
Duration: Up to 6 months
