School principal/ Social Enterprise Development Officer

Maiti Nepal, like any other Non-Government Organization (NGO) in Nepal, operates through a general agreement with Social Welfare Council, Government of Nepal that allows it to implement programs to prevent human trafficking by reaching out to the community, particularly children and women, by raising the awareness level of communities and extending life skills so that children and women are not trafficked into different forms of abuse including exploitation.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish and promote standards and expectations of all students and staffs for academic performance
  • Manage, evaluate and supervise effective procedures for the functioning  of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission , values and goals of the school
  • To play crucial role in coordination among  District Education Office, Government Offices and lined agencies 
  • Communicate with the Board on regular basis about the needs and smooth operation of the school and also to supervise and support staffs technically whenever needed
  • Establishment of the annual master schedule for instructional programs, ensuring sequential learning experiences for students consistent with the school's mission statement and instructional goals
  • Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans, observing classes (teaching ,as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the use of varieties of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning and child development and growth 
  • Communicate regularly with parents ,seeking their support and advice to create cooperative relationship  to support the students in the school 
  • Enforce uniform policies and appearance policies to ensure a school environment  that is focused on group spiritual and academic achievement rather than on individuals
  • Establish procedures for safe storing and integrity of all public and confidential school records. Ensure that students records are current and complete
  • To ensure that school program is compatible with legal, financial and organizational structure of the school system. Also to ensure to define the responsibilities and accountabilities of the school staffs
  • Perform any other duties that are within scope of employment and certification ,as assigned by Organization 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • School principal should posses a Masters Degree in any faculty with minimum 3 years of experience in relevant field or Bachelors Degree in any faculty with minimum 5 years of experience in relevant field. Experience in administrative role is highly preferred
  • Computer skills in MS Office
  • Trustworthiness, Stress tolerance, good communication and operational decision making skills
  • Ability to share knowledge and experience plus fluency in English
  • Good Interpersonal and good communication skills
  • Willingness to Learn at all times 

Social Enterprise Development Officer

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To perform market research about the development of concept of  social Enterprise
  • To set-up suitable business plan and to ensure smooth running of the business in every aspects
  • To conduct Social Enterprise feasibility study including enterprise concept, budgeting and proposals
  • To encourage trafficking survivors providing them training and skills development programs
  • Supporting reintegration of the trafficking survivors through identification of opportunities for their economic empowerment
  • To empower trafficking survivors hence contributing to sustainability of the organization itself
  • Assure implementation and monitoring of overall Social Enterprise activities formed under the program
  • Responsible for all aspects of Social enterprise including staff management, administration, sales, purchase and finance activities
  • To provide guidance and support to project's social structure and also to ensure proper implementation of all aspects
  • Responsible for all necessary reporting ,monitoring and evaluation requirements of the program
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Organization
