Role overview

To lead, coordinate and facilitate for recruitment of national action learner, national team leader, delivery of the induction/training to the UK and national action learners and team leaders, lead on alumni engagement, and assist the Programme Manager (youth) for effective and efficient delivery of action at home activities.

Skills, qualifications and experience required:

Essential 

  • Youth Work 
  • Experience of recruiting, and/or training with 18-25 year olds ( in a professional or voluntary capacity) 
  • International Development 
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, national and international development issues. 

Communication 

  • Possession of strong verbal and written communication in English. 

Facilitation Skills 

  • Experience organizing and delivering participatory training in a cross-cultural environment. 
  • Strong organizational and administration skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • At least bachelor degree education in management, social science or any other relevant areas 
  • At least 2 years of relevant experiences in working with young people from different walk of life 
  • Cross-Cultural Working 
  • Experience of working cross-culturally and able to communicate to a range of audiences and promote sharing and learning between cultures 

Desirable 

  • Youth Work 
  • Ability to facilitate learning with groups of young people in a non-formal environment 
  • Experience managing youth volunteers or youth action activities 
  • Budget Management 
  • Experience of managing budgets and undertaking (or understanding ) accounting procedures. 
  • Planning and Organizing 
  • Experience in managing monitoring and evaluation processes. 

Volunteering 

  • Sufficient experience of working with volunteers (or volunteering) to understand the key factors which make volunteer placements viable, effective and rewarding. Experience of community based volunteering. 
  • Programme Design and Evaluation 
  • Experience of designing and evaluating youth programmes in an international context. Experience of using monitoring and evaluation tools and processes. 

Other 

  • Ability to use multi-media. 
  • Able to work away from the home occasionally if a field visit is required, and able to work the occasional weekend as required. 
  • This role is open to national candidates only.
