Program Manager

F1Soft Foundation (or the “Foundation”), the non-profit arm of F1Soft International Pvt. Ltd. (or “F1Soft”) has been established to help promote financial inclusion and access to finance through digital platforms across all population segments in Nepal. This Foundation is chaired by the President of F1Soft and is guided by a team of top management, representing all major lines of business within the F1Soft group of companies.  

The Foundation is in search of a Program Manager to lead the design and execution of its flagship initiate, “Digital2020” (or “D2020”).  

Digital2020 

D2020 is an initiative championed by the F1Soft Foundation, in collaboration with a broad stakeholder group from across the public, private and donor domains. It provides a strategic frame to conceive, endorse, and implement complimentary, private and public sector initiatives that enhance DFS (Digital Financial Services) in Nepal.  

D2020’s aspirational goals by year-end 2020 are to: (i) increase the % of adults that used an electronic payment instrument to 50% (up from 16% in 2017), and (ii) exceed 20% of digital (cash-less) transaction volume in Nepal as a % of GDP (current estimate ~6%).

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the President of F1Soft and Advisor to the F1Soft Foundation, the incumbent Program Manager will be responsible for:

• Overall execution of the D2020 campaign, including oversight of the D2020 Program Management Office (PMO).
• Representing D2020 with all stakeholder groups within and outside of Nepal.
• Managing relationships with point persons assigned to the D2020 PMO.
• Timely and accurate reporting to the public and D2020 stakeholders on progress toward the D2020 goals.
• Advocating on behalf of D2020 and future initiatives to be launched by the Foundation.

Job Specification: 

The successful candidate will possess a mix of the following elements: 

• A relevant master’s degree is desirable; bachelor’s degree in business, economics, computer science, or a related discipline is required.
• Between 3-5 years of full-time experience in a private sector or Donor/NGO setting is required.  
• Team player, comfortable operating in a demanding and high-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and capable of juggling multiple competing priorities.
• Comfortable managing program P&L.
• Proficient in all standard corporate applications – e.g. MS Office, G-Suite, etc.  \
• Ability to drive agendas across a wide range of parities and interests, using soft skills.  
• Superior communication skills – fluency in English and Nepal, written and verbal – is a must.  
• Experience leading project teams is desirable.   
• Experience in fundraising is desirable.
