Antenna Foundation Nepal (AFN) is an independent, non-for-profit, media for development organization in Nepal since 2002. Its mainly focus on production of innovative and distinctive media content for both traditional and new media platforms for raising public awareness, positive behavioral change and media advocacy. AFN partners with different media outlets to disseminates the content.

AFN is hiring a competent, committed and self-motivated individual in the following Position;

Job Descriptions of Position

1. Position: Monitoring , Evaluation and Learning Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support in design, development and maintenance of a robust database system for projects and programs of AFN
• Support MERDC in planning and managing a robust M & E framework within AFN Develop M & E instruments, including various survey forms, monitoring checklists
• including broadcast monitoring tracker, evaluation tools and guidelines, for AFN project activities
• Plan field visits, as project specifications, for research and M & E activities including audience analysis, capacity need assessment, mentoring support and impact evaluation of AFN projects
• Ensure that field data/information collected is reliable, accurate and complete and that the data are entered into the system after quality check
• Work with spreadsheets and database software and carry out data analysis using various statistical means and generate the information for M & E report and other purposes such as decision making and proposal development by AFN
• Write high-quality and evidenced-based M & E reports of AFN projects as per project timelines and requirements
• Work closely with program staffs while designing and implementing M & E tools; and also orient them on how to track program data
• Perform research works including literature review, listenership survey and baseline study, capacity need assessment, into various AFN project themes
• Undertake any other M & E-related tasks as assigned by MERDC

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, development studies or any other related fields.
• At least three years’ experience in the field of result based management (RBM), monitoring and evaluation and research preferably in the social and behavior change communication (SBCC) sector.
• Relevant working experience in development projects related to media development and distribution and outreach and advocacy is preferred
• Data analysis skills with working knowledge of MS Excel and statistical software such as SPSS Good interpersonal/ communication skills and analytical skills
