Lutheran World Relief (LWR), a U.S.-based non-profit development organization, is seeking applications from the qualified candidates for following position for the Nepal office.

A)MONITORING AND EVALUATION (M&E) OFFICER – TBR PROJECT 

Congregational Transboundary Flood Resilience Project (C-TBR Project) is one of the LWR’s flagship and strategic projects in the Asia and Middle East. The M&E Officer under the guidance of Project Director the position holder is expected to perform following duties; Maintain the all documents and data records ensuring the quality of the data, conduct regular monitoring visits to project locations, provide technical M&E assistance to project staff, conduct M&E related training, coaching and orientation to TBR partner staffs,ensure the accuracy of all data collection tools and databases,review the partner’s periodic narrative reports and provide inputs, take lead and work together with partner’s staffs on resilience measurement, genders assessment, cost : benefit analysis, outcome related data collection and analysis, support on endline survey and evaluation, draft terms of references, periodic outcome level data analysis and document the learning of TBR project. This is intermediate level position for one and a half year with possibility of extension. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Deep commitment to LWR’s core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
  • Bachelors level in social science or related field
  • A minimum of three years demonstrated experience in the field of monitoring, evaluation or project management with I/NGO field preferred to flood response, climate change, Resilience, DRR and livelihoods projects
  • Excellent skill in survey design, PRA tools, data collection and analysis
  • Excellent knowledge and skill with Word, Excel, and other database management 
  • Experience in M&E training, facilitation, and/or support local partners, community groups, and officials
  • Previous experiences in resilience measurement, gender assessment, outcome mapping, cost benefit analysis would be a plus. 
  • Ability to travel frequently (up to 60% of the time).
