KIRDARC Nepal is an NGO dedicated to Human Rights, Peace Building, Media and Development in Karnali Zone since 1999. It works with a mission to enable Karnali people to claim and exercise their rights for poverty reduction and improved livelihoods through their organization, research, policy advocacy and judicious resources mobilization. It has been implementing various project/programs with the funding support of different partner organizations.

It works with a vision for a just and prosperous society with people having access to and ownership over resources and opportunities.

Karnali Integrated Rural Development and Research Center (KIRDARC) with joint support of Good Neighbors Nepal (GNI)is going to implement the project titled “Livelihood and Education” in Humla and Mugu District. Thus, KIRDARC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full time position:

Micro-Enterprise Development Officer (MEDO) – 1 (Mugu based)

Key Responsibilities:

Micro Enterprise Development Officer acts as focal person to implement livelihood enhancement program. S/he is fully responsible for successful accomplishment of activities related to livelihood enhancement. 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum Bachelors' Degree in Agriculture, Forestry, Development Studies or any other relevant subjects. Minimum three years of work experience in the field of agriculture development, micro enterprise development, business plan preparation, and cooperative management. Strong coordination and communication skills. Proven experience in training facilitation Ability to produce quality reports both in English and Nepali. Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, email and internet. Willingness to travel to remote working areas. Preference will be given to person holding valid two wheelers license.
