Detailed Job Description / Requirements:
KIRDARC Nepal is an NGO dedicated to uphold the rights of marginalized and excluded communities through its interventions on Human Rights, Democracy and Good Governance with especial focus on building capacities of right holders, duty bearers and civil society contributing to inclusive growth and fair development. It works with a vision for a just and prosperous society with people having access to and ownership over resources and opportunities.
KIRDARC together with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)is going to implement SDG Localization Model Project (Community Infrastructure Development Project) in TilaRural Municapilityof Jumla District. Thus, KIRDARC invites applications from suitable Nepali candidates for the following full time position:
1.Project Coordinator (Civil Engineer) – 1 (Based inJumla)
Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible for management of project including leading technical aspects construction infrastructures (survey, design, estimate, construction supervision & quality assurance) including disaster resilienceas well as ensure all administrative aspect of the project.Responsible to prepare action plan of construction activities, follow-up and take corrective actions if needed. Assign and supervise the work of Technical Supervisor to ensure that construction work meet the quality, completed in timely. Coordinate with management, funding partner, communities, local government for timely decision making and management updates. Prepare regular reports and final report for submission to UNDP.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in Building Construction Works. Have excellent computer skills (MS Office, &Auto CAD), strong team leadership and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas, ability to work under pressure.
2.Technical Supervisor -1 (Based in Project Site- Tila RM)
Key Responsibilities: Overall responsible for construction and site supervision of community infrastructures especially buildings.Responsible to implementand monitor quality of construction in line with design standards, estimates and BOQ. Complete the measurement of work and prepare work completion report with fully transparent process of financial and public audits. Supervise improvement works and other civil works by staying on the construction site.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Completed Diploma in Civil Engineering with 5 years of work experience or Sub-Overseerwith 7 years of experience in supervision of public institutional construction works (disaster resilient infrastructures especial buildings). Have sound knowledge in ComputerMS office, excellent communication and interpretation skills. Strong community mobilization skills, team leadership and communication skills, willingness to travel and stay in rural areas.
