Expression of Interest (EOI) for NGO partner selection in Kailali and Dadeldhura districts

Finn Church Aid (FCA) is the largest Finnish development cooperation organisation, a major humanitarian actor and member of ACT Alliance. FCA’s vision is a world comprised of resilient and just societies where everyone's right to peace, quality education and sustainable livelihood has been fulfilled. FCA is a rights-based organisation, and our action is guided by international human rights standards and principles. We operate in 15 countries in Asia and Africa, where the needs are most dire. We work with economically poor and socially marginalized groups regardless of their religious beliefs, ethnic background or political convictions. FCA work in three thematic areas; Livelihoods, Education and Peace. In Nepal, FCA has been working in Nepal since 2013. It has been implementing development cooperation and earthquake response programs and projects covering 14 districts. As a civil society actor, FCA realises its mission and vision through development cooperation, humanitarian assistance and advocacy works. FCA Nepal is recruiting a position of Programme Officer to support its operation and programme management under development cooperation. 

FCA Nepal Country Office has been preparing to implement a three years livelihood project entitled Social and Economic Empowerment Marginalized Groups including Freed Haliyas and Kamaiyas. The target districts of the project are Kailali and Dadeldhura of Far western region of Nepal. The main objective of the project is strengthening social and economic status of most marginalized groups in Kailali and Dadeldhura districts of Far western region through promoting resilience livelihood with access to finance and business literacy.  Hence, FCA is inviting interested local NGOs to submit their Expression of Interest (EoI). 

Minimum Criteria of the NGOs:

• Legally Registered NGOs in target districts or having functional district chapter for last three years
• Affiliated to social welfare council 
• PAN or VAT registered 
• Periodic renewed and tax clearance certificate obtained
• Having past work experience in the target district/s at least for 3 years
• Well experienced in working for socio-economic empowerment of disadvantage and marginalized such as Haliya, Kamaiya etc  
• Working experienced with more than two funding partner INGOs poverty alleviation or related programme 
• Existence of separate structures of governing/ executive board and management (personal)

The completed EOI including organizational documents mentioned above should be submitted in sealed envelope to one of following addresses by 15th of the January.
