Vacancy Description

Contract: Indefinite, Band H | Region: South Asia | Country: Nepal | Location: Kathmandu | Department: English & Exams| 

The post holder will conduct computer based/computer delivered test in country and provide 1st level IT system and network troubleshooting as required. This role is broader than managing exam papers and includes managing logistics and ensuring timely scanning and submitting of exam papers to meet requirements for marking. This role also includes managing strategic relationship with vendor and partners (e.g. Courier) in the distribution chain.  This role will suit IT experts who want to build a career in the fast-growing sector of international examinations.

Main Opportunities / Challenges for the role

  • Provide 1st level troubleshooting and technical support to deliver computer-based/computer-delivered tests. Support IT Manager by ensuring test delivery computers and devices are compliant, working and optimally used.
  • Optimal use of technology to maximise efficiency in daily operations, overcoming old practices through innovation where necessary.
  • Drive right behaviours in the team towards greater awareness related to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive exam related materials                  
  • Implement improvement actions in the distribution and logistics of handling confidential materials.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity of the end to end handling and movement of confidential materials in and out of the Confidential Materials Room (CMR). This includes managing strategic relationship with vendor and partners (e.g. Couriers) in the distribution chain. The role is also required to ensure compliance to set standards on CMR set up and access.
