Our integrated healthcare approach involves two teaching hospitals, a professionalized community health worker network, and strategic use of data and technology to connect patient records from hospital to home. Our more than 250 staff provide integrated care from home to hospital to over 200,000 community members, provide over 100,000 hospital visits, and conduct over 5,000 surgical procedures annually.

Job Position: Electronic Health Record (EHR) Implementation Associate

Possible is seeking an entrepreneurial Electronic Health Record (EHR) Implementation Associate to lead the implementation of EHR in different hubs and support the local team members as well in its maintenance and troubleshooting.

Possible, also known as Nyaya Health, is a nonprofit organization delivering healthcare to underserved communities in Nepal in partnership with the Ministry of Health. With over 300 full time staff, we deliver care to over 150,000 patients annually in two hospital hubs and through our community health worker network. We have witnessed dramatic results through our integrated hospital-to-home model that has helped reduce maternal and infant morbidity and mortality. We envision a future where everyone, regardless of location or income, is guaranteed universal health coverage as a human right. 

Management Structure:

Reports to: Digital Systems Engineer

Direct Reports: N/A

Department: EHR Team

Location: National (Kathmandu)

Travel: Willing to spend 70 % time in remote hub of Nyaya Health Nepal/ Possible 

Job purpose:

EHR Implementation Associate is responsible to provide support and help deliver successful deployment of the various components and training to Electronic Health Record (EHR) users, help them gain a better understanding through the implementation process and ensure successful implementation of EHR in various locations. 

Big 3 Responsibilities:

  1. Support in EHR implementation in different location.
  2. Provide software and EHR training to the end users
  3. Provide level 1 and 2 support, maintenance and troubleshooting of EHR/OS 

Area of Responsibility (AoR): 

The EHR Implementation Associate will be mainly responsible for overseeing the following areas of responsibilities: 

  1. Plan, manage and communicate the progress of the implementation, both internally and externally

a.     Provide EHR administrative support (EHR Processes, id creation/deactivation, user role changes etc) and training to end users.

b.     Maintain interdepartmental communication with EHR needs and flow with user teams.

c.     Respond timely to EHR support tickets/requests. 

  1.  Travel in different hubs for assisting in installation, troubleshooting and support.

a.     Visit work sites to evaluate installation and support of EHR technology, to determine project needs.

b.     Regularly monitor EHR performance parameters in different location, and coordinate with Digital Systems Engineer and local based IT support to assist if any.

  1. Assist EHR implementation and training.
    1. Ensure the readiness of hardware and software and follow up with documentation for implementation and installation.
    2. Troubleshoot systems to ensure systems are functioning properly.
    3. Train clients and end users on system usage and ensure users satisfaction of end result. 

The above list of responsibilities is not comprehensive, and the EHR Implementation Associate may be required to take on additional responsibilities, as determined by the Digital Systems Engineer. 

Must-haves: 

â—      IE or CTEVT 3 in IT (Bachelor in Information Technology or equivalent preferred)

â—      Training or knowledge in UNIX based OS

â—      Knowledge in MySQL/PostgreSQL or any other databases

â—      Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills are required

â—      Energetic and positive attitude.

â—      Have basic networking knowledge

â—      Excellent technology problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
