Globally, Mercy Corps implements programs in a range of sectors, including: agriculture & food security; market development; emergency response; disaster risk reduction; climate change; health; conflict management; youth engagement; and, community mobilization/governance. 

Mercy Corps Nepal works to build the absorptive, adaptive and transformative potential of vulnerable individuals and communities across Nepal. The goal is attained through a systems based approach to market development, financial services, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation and youth engagement. Mercy Corps began its operation in Nepal in 2005, with projects focusing on the sectors of economic and food security; climate, natural resource and disaster risk management; youth engagement; with the inclusion of women and disadvantaged groups as important cross-cutting themes throughout each intervention area.

STEM II:

Supporting the Education of Marginalised Girls in Kailali (STEM II) project is a project funded by UKAID under Girls Education Challenges (GEC) programme. The project is led by Mercy Corps and implemented by BASE with an aim to improve the life chances of marginalised girls in Kailali. This is being done through a series of activities including awareness raising campaigns, formation of girls’ clubs, teachers' trainings, school management trainings, infrastructure support at schools, financial literacy, business and vocational trainings with complementary low interest collateral free loan opportunities. The project works primarily with three categories of girls: (a) those studying in between grades 8 and 10 in 2017; termed as in school (IS) girls (b) those who have graduated from grade 10 since 2014; termed as school graduates girls (SG) and  (c) those who were previously enrolled at secondary level but have dropped out from the school from the year 2009 A.D; termed as out-of-school (OOS) girls .

Firms/Individuals interested in this consultancy should submit their proposal along with the copies of company registration, tax registration, latest tax clearance certificates (in case of Firm) and curriculum vita/profile, experience letters, recommendations (in case of Individuals) to np-procurement@mercycorps.org no later than 21st March, 2019 COB.The incomplete bid documents or bid documents received after closing date will not be considered. 

Only shortlisted organizations and individuals will be contacted for further process. Canvassing at any stage of the process shall lead to automatic disqualification of the application.  Mercy Corps reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals without assigning any reason.
