Consultancy service announcement to carry out baseline study for Livelihood project

Finn Church Aid (FCA) is the major Finnish NGO in development cooperation and humanitarian works. FCA operates in over 15 countries across Asia, Africa, and Middle East. It specializes in supporting local communities in three interlinked thematic areas; livelihood, education, and peace. Since 2008, FCA has been supporting communities in Nepal in addressing their needs and enjoying their rights. After 2015 earthquake, it has been also responding the needs of earthquake affected children through construction of temporary learning spaces and semi-permanent schools (of 10-15 years of life span) in four earthquake affected districts along with other interventions such as WASH and DRR. Currently, it operates its projects across 13 districts of Nepal.

FCA is looking for consultants’ services (a team leader and a member) as described in TOR https://goo.gl/szYSHF to carry out baseline study of a livelihood project under implementation in Sindhuli district. The project consists of three major components: a) access to finance, b) entrepreneurship/business development and c) women’s social empowerment. The main aim of the baseline study is to produce data against the project indicators to demonstrate achievements at the end of the project period.  The project covers 7 former Village Development Committees (VDCs) and a part of Kamalamai municipality of Sindhuli district. 2900 women and girls are direct beneficiaries of the project. The study should start as soon as possible and expected to complete by 31st July, 2018.  The assignment consists of 20 days each for team leader and member.
