The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is the global humanitarian organization of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Through an international network, ADRA delivers relief and development assistance to individuals in 130 countries—regardless of their ethnicity, political affiliation, or religious association. ADRA in Nepal works in livelihood, health, education and disaster risk management sectors. Currently, ADRA Nepal has been implementing its programs in 21 districts of the country.

Call for Emergency Health Response Roster

The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) is a global humanitarian agency that seeks to identify and address social distortions and deprivation in developing countries. Through its international network ADRA works in more than 130 countries with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. ADRA has been active in Nepal since 1987 with a successful portfolio of Health Program serving to the unreached population in the remotest villages of the remote districts form east to far western region of Nepal. 

The purpose of preparation of the roster is to provide professional and technical staff and services to support the program for the partial implementation of the emergency response of health sector. Moreover, its objective in large and small-scale sudden onset disasters and emergencies is to “reduce the consequences the event may have on health and its social and economic implications”. 

Therefore, ADRA Nepal is seeking eligible NGOs/ Nursing homes or policlinics registered as per Nepal Government’s rules and regulations,to prepare a roster for providing emergency health services/ Reproductive Health (RH) Camps in different sites/districts of Nepal. Hence, the ADRA Nepal invites applications from experienced NGOs/ Nursing homes or policlinics in the given areas. Interested organization meeting required criteria are requested to submit their organizational profile along with application to the recruitment department.

Requirements and experiences:

  • Willing to be deployed anywhere in Nepal at medium/short notice.
  • Minimum commitment of 2 weeks (up to 12 weeks) per deployment.
  • Professionally qualified with work experience in fast-paced and low resource environment with a national/international organization.

Documents to be submitted:

  • A certified true copy of its current Registration Certificate and PAN/VAT certificate
  • Certificate of registration with Health Department
  • Organizational profile including composition RH Camp Team

The eligible NGOs/ Nursing homes or policlinics registered as per Nepal Government’s rules and regulations are requested to apply for the service by 04 April 2018. The proposal scan be submitted at recruitment@adranepal.org or drop hard copy at ADRA Nepal Country Office located at Sanepa, Lalitpur, P.O. Box 4481. The proposals received after deadline will not be considered. ADRA Nepal reserves all rights to make decision and/or cancel the assignment without any information.
