Action Nepal is a non-governmental humanitarian organization, established in 2000 AD in Dhading with a view to develop the socio-economic status of Nepalese people especially residing in rural area. Details / requirements:

Action Nepal, a highly recognized NGO working in a diversified sector and geography of Dhading is searching for the potential candidates for Suaahara II Program funded by USAID.

The candidates should demonstrate developed communications and influencing skills, excellent knowledge of area of work and increasingly contribute to team planning, proactively assumes more responsibility and/or more difficult areas of work in agreement with manager.

Position: Agriculture Technical Assistant (ATA) (1 nos.)

JOB SPECIFICATION:

  • He/ She is responsible for implementing Homestead food production (HFP) activities in intervention areas with technical backstop from the district HFP Officer and Field Coordinator.
  • Provide technical assistance to Field Supervisors on Homestead and Food Production (HFP) quality.
  • Develop micro plan of HFP component (seed distribution. Poultry distribution) based on Detail Implementation Plan (DIP) in coordination with Field Coordinator and District Coordinator.
  • Monitoring and implementation of Agriculture and animal development related program.
  • Support Field Supervisors to establish good coordination with agriculture intensive VDCs and agriculture service centers.
  • Prepare report on HFP component on progress made by interventions.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Nepali.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • I. Sc. Agriculture / Plant Science or Equivalent 
  • Preference will be given to candidate experienced in Agriculture livestock program implementation.
  • Good communication skills both in English and Nepali
  • Ability and willingness to work in team and to work under pressure and in remote/difficult circumstances
