Requirement Intern 

OPM Nepal is looking for the position of intern for Health & Nutrition and Monitoring Evaluation Research & Learning portfolios. Young, dynamic, energetic, enthusiastic, forward looking, person with a good learning attitude are requested to send their CVs with an application including motivational letter Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.

Qualification 

  • Master’s degree in statistics,, public health, economics, data science and development studies;
  • Basic knowledge on research methodology and related statistical tools;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill both in Nepali and English;
  • Proficiency in MS office package;
  • Sound quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills; 
  • Basic skill on statistical package Stata, SPSS, R preferable and
  • Able to undertake desk review and demonstrate analytical writing

Field Supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in public health or any relevant field (e.g., social sciences, international development, demography, with a quantitative focus)
  • At least one year of experience of experience of conducting large scale survey
  • Experience in enumerating on large scale national surveys for e.g., Nepal Demographic and Health Surveys (NDHS), Nepal Living Standards Surveys (NLSS), Nepal Labor Force Surveys (NLFS), Nepal Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (NMICS), Nepal National Micronutrient Status Survey (NNMSS), National Tuberculosis Prevalence Surveys, etc.
  • Experience in conducting surveys using CAPI tool.
  • Experience in conducting phone surveys using CATI.
  • Sound knowledge of handling smartphones/tablet
  • Proficiency in MS office package
  • Good communication skill.
  • Ability to work in teams with diversified background &willingness to travel in remote rural settings
Field Enumerator

Qualitative


Field Researcher
  • Master’s degree in social sciences, public health, and development studies
  • At least two years of experience in field implementation of qualitative research including conducting KIIs, FGDs
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in qualitative  software such as ATLAS.ti and NVIVO
  • Ability to transcribe, translate and summarize field interviews (KIIs and FGDs) and discussions in both Nepali and English.
  • Experience of conducting FGDs, KIIs and discussions with high level government officials and stakeholders from all levels of government
  • Ability to work in teams with diversified background & willingness to travel in remote rural settings
