Envisioning a ‘slavery-free society where every individual can live with full dignity’, Purple Foundation, established in 2019 by passionate anti-slavery women professional and activists, serves as non-profit to address the issues of the people who are at-risk of modern day`s slavery and survivors. It provides technical assistance to the organizations tackling slavery where it educates and informs at-risk population about modern-day slavery and its risks. To prevent the risk of enslavement and help them to take preventive measures, organization conducts various activities like awareness-raising campaigning, developing and dissemination of information, education and communication (IEC) materials, capacity building and advocacy at different levels. 

Pending funding availability, Purple Foundation is expecting to commence on a five-month research and advocacy project to undertake a research study on hate speech, and dis/misinformation targeted at political leaders in Nepal who are women and/or from different sexual minorities.

The project aims to produce an in-depth high quality documentary film (8-10 minutes in length) as well as a few short clips (1-2 minutes in length), highlighting some of the different issues for different audiences as an awareness and advocacy tool to influence governments, political parties, legislatures and civilians against gendered hate speech, dis/misinformation. The films will be used to create awareness against hate speech, dis/misinformation against politically active leaders who are women and/or from different sexual minorities. 

A team of experts consisting of one Content Writer/Editor, and one Videographer, with relevant experience, are requested to submit a technical and financial proposal (maximum three pages) by no later than 31 January 2022 to: foundationpurple@gmail.com
