Group of Helping Hands (SAHAS) Nepal is a non-profit making non-governmental-organization founded in 1996 by a team of professional development workers, who for many years had been involved in Rural Development Programs. The organization has since then successfully implemented various projects in the sectors of sustainable agriculture and food security, natural resource management, climate change, community empowerment, social mobilization, lobby and advocacy, civic education, disaster response and reconstruction  and infrastructure (water, sanitation, roads and bridges) development. At present, the organization is implementing several projects in a total of 22 districts of Nepal. 

SAHAS Nepal is looking for potential candidates for the following positions in "Promoting Inclusive and Quality Education in Public Schools of Ramechhap district" Project. Project seeks to ensure that deprived children in targeted communities schools attend good quality inclusive education and demonstrate relevant learning outcomes.

Position:  Education Project Officer

Duty station: Ramechhap district 

Required number:  1

Academic qualification/experiences:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or relevant social science, with focus on inclusive education in terms of gender  or Master’s degree preferred in relevant field 
• Minimum 2 years of experience in technical aspects of Inclusive education, working in close collaboration with local government or district agencies
• Excellent facilitation, training, and capacity building skills are expected
• Good skill in community development, empowerment, networking, lobby and advocacy
• Good communication,  analytical skills and report writing
• Fluent in oral and written Nepali and English language
• Good and efficient team player

Major responsibilities:

• Provide technical support towards the consortium on IE with focus that can accommodate children with disabilities, children from hard to reach communities and out of schools girls.
• Closely work with the focal person and the Program Team towards developing the teacher training 
• Work in consortium to develop the learning levels for children and design the tools to assess the literacy abilities in the beneficiaries.
• Promoting inclusive and quality education in public schools.
• Provide technical inputs during the preparation of promotional materials for educational activities.
• Work closely with all the stakeholders at local and district level to assure proper project management.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annually and annually report to the focal person

Position:  Education Educators

Duty station:  Doramba and Sunapati Rural Municipalities, Ramechhap district

Required number:  2

Academic qualification/experiences:

• 10+2  in Education or relevant social science completed
• Minimum 1 year of experience in education with social mobilization
• Excellent facilitation, training, and capacity building skills are expected
• Good skill in community development, empowerment, networking
• Good coordination and  communication  skills
• Good and efficient team player
• Report writing skills with basic computer knowledge

Major responsibilities:

• Facilitations, group formation and strengthening
• Facilitate to develop and planning group activities
• Coordination with local government and other stakeholders
• Regular monitoring, data collection, documentation and report writing
• Close coordination with schools
• Closely work with Education Project Officer towards developing the project activities
