Consultant in Otology /Speech and language Therapist/Audiologist /Assistant Speech and Language Therapist

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The International Nepal Fellowship/Nepal (INF/N) is a Christian non-government organization has worked in health services and development in the Western Regions of Nepal for more than 67 years.

INF Nepal, oversees three hospitals namely, Green Pastures Hospital (GPH)-Pokhara, Shining Hospital-Banke and Shining Hospital-Surkhet. Ear Centre at GPH is a very well equipped facility with expanding patient base, wide range of ear services, full audiological service and excellent opportunities for personal and service development. We are equipped for all forms of microscopic and endoscopic ear surgery, including laser. We also offer training courses and community ear care. GPH has an expanding range of other subspecialty and rehabilitation services.

INF Green Pastures Hospital is looking for a qualified and well-motivated Nepali citizen for the following post:

1.  Post Title: Consultant in Otology                      

Purpose of the job:  The post holders will provide outpatient and surgical care for patients with ear disease (not general ENT) to the local and visiting population, and be involved with and support regular outreach work and training. 

Required Qualifications and Skills 

MS in ENT with registration with Nepal Medical Council. Candidates with longer term relevant experience are encouraged to apply. Evidence of specialist training in otology and publication of research papers will be an advantage. We are looking to appoint suitable candidates at both senior and less experienced levels.

2.  Post Title: Speech and language Therapist           

Purpose of the job: The job holder needs to carry out the assessment and therapy of speech and language disorders in children and adults Including speech and swallowing and communication rehabilitation. He/she will provide assistance to audiology services when required.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Bachelor in Speech Language Pathology or relevant subject and should be registered (or in process to be registered) with Nepal Health Professional Council.

3.  Post Title: Audiologist                                           

Purpose of the jobs: The job holder needs to carry out assessment and therapy of hearing and balance disorders including hearing aid fitting and development of neonatal screening; assistance to speech service may also be required.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Bachelor in Audiology or relevant subject and should be registered (or in process to be registered) with Nepal Health Professional Council.

4.  Post Title: Assistant Speech and Language Therapist

Purpose of the job:

Work with Speech and Language Therapist to provide therapy to adults and children with speech, language communication and feeding difficulties. On the Job training will be offered.
