Consultancy Service for ToT on Positive Patenting

WVI Nepal implementing the technical programme in different district using different project model, such as Child Protection and Advocacy (CP&A), Child Protection Minimum Requirement (CPMR) channel of Hope (COH) and Community Engagement and Sponsorship Plan (CESP). The Positive Parenting Approach will equip parents/caregivers with the relevant tools to positively impact their well-being as caregivers. The Positive Parenting approach espouses a comprehensive, gender-sensitive and strengths-based approach to parenting, as a key strategy to enhance inter-generational partnerships, facilitate the existence of safe and peaceful environments for children and adolescents, prevent and mitigate family violence and promote positive gender socialization. The Positive Parenting Support is also a key component of a broader strategy to effect behavior and social change, enhance the navigational capacities and competence of duty bearers to effectively execute their obligations and duties.  

WVI Nepal seeks to engage the service of a qualified consultant or consulting firms with relevant technical expertise to equip the Staff and peer educators with the tools and knowledge that helps children succeed, gives them the information they need to grow with full potential, and supports their development. It respects children’s right to healthy development, protection from violence, and active participation in their learning.

The TOT on positive parenting is expected to deliver the following component:

  • Realization of importance, objective and values 
  • Visioning of standard of good family 
  • Providing warmth and structure in family
  • Understanding child development & engaging with children
  • Knowing/Identification of temperament/ characteristic/personality of children
  • Definition, Alternative ways &Tool for Positive Parenting  
  • Benefits and elements of Positive parenting  
  • Basic Concept on Child Right and Child Protection mechanism and CP structure 
  • Problem-solving and responding with positive parenting 
  • Communicating with children and problem solving
